Gen Z: Exodus 12
And the Lord hit up Moses and Aaron in Egypt, saying,
This month is the start of all months for you, like the first month of the year, no cap.
Tell the whole crew of Israel, on the tenth day of this month, every fam needs to grab a lamb, one for each house, periodt.
If your squad is too small for a whole lamb, vibe with your neighbor and share it based on how many are eating, fr.
Your lamb needs to be flawless, a male from the first year: take it from the sheep or goats, lit.
Keep it until the fourteenth day of the month: the whole Israel crew will chill and kill it in the evening.
They gotta take the blood and put it on the two side posts and the top of the doorframe where they’re eating.
They’ll munch on the meat that night, roast it up with fire, with unleavened bread and bitter herbs, that's the vibe.
Don’t eat it raw or boiled, only roast it with fire; head, legs, and all the good stuff included, no cap.
Don’t let any leftovers chill until morning; whatever’s left, burn it with fire.
So y'all gotta eat it with your gear on, shoes laced, and staff in hand; eat it quick, 'cause it's the Lord's passover, no cap.
I'm rollin' through Egypt tonight, takin' out all the firstborns, man and beast; I'm throwin' shade at all the Egyptian gods: I am the Lord, periodt.
The blood's gonna be your sign on the houses you chill in; when I see the blood, I'll pass over you, and the plague won't touch you when I hit Egypt.
This day’s gonna be a memory for you; keep it lit as a feast for the Lord forever, it's a whole vibe.
For seven days, munch on unleavened bread; on day one, kick out the leaven from your crib; if anyone eats leavened bread during that time, they’re outta Israel, fr.
First day’s a holy meetup, and the seventh day too; no work, just eat what you gotta eat, that’s the vibe.
Keep the feast of unleavened bread; I brought your crew outta Egypt on this day, so remember it forever, it’s goated.
In the first month, on the 14th day at night, chow down on unleavened bread until the 21st day at night.
No leaven should be found in your houses for seven days; if anyone eats leavened stuff, they’re cut off from Israel, whether they're a local or a stranger, no cap.
Eat nothing leavened; in all your spots, keep it unleavened bread only.
So Moses hit up all the elders of Israel and was like, "Get yourself a lamb for your fam and slay that passover."
Grab a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood from the bowl, and smear it on the doorframe and sides; no one dips out till morning, no cap.
The Lord's gonna roll through to smite the Egyptians; when He sees the blood on the door, He'll pass over and not let the destroyer in your crib, fr.
Keep this on lock as a forever thing for you and your kids, periodt.
When you hit the land the Lord's gonna hook you up with, just like He promised, make sure to keep this vibe going.
When your kids ask, "What's up with this service?" you tell them, "It's the Lord's passover sacrifice."
He passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt when He took out the Egyptians, and our houses got saved. The crew bowed their heads and worshipped, straight up.
The Israelites bounced and did exactly what the Lord told Moses and Aaron to do, no doubt.
At midnight, the Lord took out all the firstborns in Egypt, from Pharaoh on his throne to the captives in the dungeon, and even the cattle, that's wild.
Pharaoh woke up in the night with his crew, and there was a major freakout in Egypt; every house had at least one dead, that's savage.
He hit up Moses and Aaron at night, like, "Yo, get up and bounce from my peeps, you and the squad; go serve the Lord, just like you said."
Also, take your flocks and herds, just like you said, and dip; and don’t forget to bless me too.
The Egyptians were lowkey stressing the people, like, "Send them out ASAP; we’re all gonna be dead, no cap."
The people grabbed their dough before it was leavened, carrying their kneading troughs all wrapped up in their fits on their shoulders.
The kids of Israel did what Moses said; they borrowed bling from the Egyptians—silver, gold, and fresh fits.
The Lord made the people look good in the eyes of the Egyptians, so they lent them whatever they needed. They totally flexed on the Egyptians.
The kids of Israel rolled out from Rameses to Succoth, like six hundred thousand guys on foot, plus the kiddos.
A mixed crew came along too; they brought flocks and herds, like, a whole lot of cattle.
They baked unleavened cakes from the dough they brought outta Egypt, 'cause it wasn’t leavened; they got kicked out and didn’t have time to prep any food.
The kids of Israel were chilling in Egypt for four hundred thirty years, just vibing.
So after 430 years, on that same day, all of the Lord's squad bounced from Egypt. Major vibes.
It's a night to remember for the Lord, celebrating the exit from Egypt; this night is lit for all the fam of Israel forever.
The Lord told Moses and Aaron, "This is how the Passover goes: no outsiders can munch on it."
But if you got a servant you copped with cash, once they’re circumcised, they can eat it.
No foreigners or hired help can join in on the feast.
Gotta eat it in one crib; don't take any of the meat outside, and no bones should get broken.
The whole crew of Israel needs to keep it real and observe this.
If a stranger is chilling with you and wants to do the Passover for the Lord, get all the guys circumcised, then they can join in; they'll be just like a local. No uncircumcised peeps allowed to eat.
One rule for the home team and the outsiders hanging with you, no cap.
And that's exactly what all the kids of Israel did; they followed the Lord's orders through Moses and Aaron, periodt.
So, on that same day, the Lord flexed and led the Israelites outta Egypt with their squads.
