Gen Z: Esther 8
On that day, King Ahasuerus gave Haman's crib to Esther, the queen. Mordecai pulled up to the king 'cause Esther spilled the tea on who he was to her.
The king flexed by taking off his ring from Haman and gave it to Mordecai. Esther made Mordecai the big boss over Haman's house.
Esther came back to the king, dropped to his feet, and begged with tears to get rid of Haman's savage plans against the Jews.
The king held out his golden scepter to Esther. So she popped up and stood in front of him.
She said, "If it vibes with you, and I’m catching your favor, let’s reverse Haman’s letters that were meant to wipe out the Jews in all your provinces."
"How can I chill knowing the bad stuff that's coming for my people? I can't handle seeing my fam get wrecked!"
Then King Ahasuerus told Esther and Mordecai, "I gave Esther Haman's house, and they hanged him 'cause he messed with the Jews."
"Write whatever you want for the Jews in the king’s name, seal it with my ring, ‘cause once it's signed, no one can change it, periodt."
The king’s scribes were called in the third month, on the 23rd day, and they wrote everything Mordecai told them for the Jews and the leaders from India to Ethiopia, 127 provinces, keeping it real for every group.
He wrote in King Ahasuerus’ name, sealed it with his ring, and sent letters by horse, mules, camels, and young dromedaries.
The king gave the Jews in every city the chance to band together and protect their lives, to destroy anyone who tried to mess with them, and to take their stuff as loot.
It was all happening on one day in all the king's provinces, specifically the 13th day of the 12th month, which is Adar.
The command was published in every province for everyone to see, telling the Jews to be ready to get back at their enemies on that day.
So the posts on mules and camels rushed out, pushed by the king’s orders. The decree dropped at Shushan palace.
Mordecai left the king’s presence in royal drip, blue and white fit, a lit gold crown, and fresh linen and purple threads. The city of Shushan was vibing and happy.
The Jews were lit with light, joy, and honor.
In every province and city where the king’s orders went, the Jews were vibing with joy and a feast. Many locals even converted to Judaism 'cause they were feeling the fear of the Jews.
