Gen Z: Esther 9
So in the twelfth month, Adar, on the thirteenth day, the king's command was about to pop off, and the enemies of the Jews were feeling themselves, but plot twist: the Jews ended up ruling over their haters.
The Jews pulled up in their cities all across King Ahasuerus' territory, ready to handle their biz against anyone who wanted smoke, and nobody could stop them; everyone was shook.
All the rulers, lieutenants, deputies, and officers were on the Jews' side; they were lowkey scared of Mordecai's vibes.
Mordecai was a big deal in the king's house, and his fame spread everywhere; dude was just getting more goated.
The Jews took down all their enemies with the sword and wrecked them; they did what they wanted to those who dissed them.
In Shushan, the palace, the Jews took out five hundred men.
Parshandatha, Dalphon, and Aspatha,
Poratha, Adalia, and Aridatha,
Parmashta, Arisai, Aridai, and Vajezatha,
They took out the ten sons of Haman, the enemy of the Jews, but they didn't touch the loot.
On that day, the count of the peeps who got taken out in Shushan was brought to the king.
The king said to Esther, "Yo, the Jews took out 500 dudes in Shushan and Haman’s ten sons; what’s the vibe in the rest of the kingdom? What’s your request? Just say the word and it’s done."
Esther was like, "If it’s cool with you, let the Jews in Shushan do their thing again tomorrow like today’s decree, and hang Haman’s ten sons on the gallows."
The king was like, "Bet, let’s make it happen," and the decree was dropped in Shushan; they hanged Haman’s ten sons.
The Jews in Shushan gathered on the fourteenth day of Adar and took out 300 dudes; but they didn’t touch the loot, no cap.
The other Jews in the king’s provinces came together, stood up for themselves, got a break from their enemies, and took out 75,000 foes, but they didn’t mess with the loot.
On the thirteenth day of Adar, they chilled on the fourteenth, making it a day of feasting and good vibes.
The Jews in Shushan came together on the thirteenth and fourteenth days, and on the fifteenth, they kicked back, making it a day of feasting and joy.
So the Jews in the villages, living in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of Adar a day of good vibes and feasting, sending portions to each other.
Mordecai wrote this stuff down and sent letters to all the Jews in the king Ahasuerus’ provinces, both close and far.
They set this up for the crew to keep the fourteenth day of Adar and the fifteenth day every year, no cap.
It’s the days when the Jews chilled from their haters, turning their sadness into joy and making it a lit day of feasting, sharing food, and gifting the less fortunate.
The Jews were like, “We got this,” and followed what Mordecai wrote, fr.
Haman, the ultimate hater, plotted to wipe out the Jews and rolled the dice to decide their fate, sus vibes.
But when Esther pulled up to the king, he flipped the script and said Haman’s evil plan should backfire on him and his fam, savage.
They named these days Purim after the lot, and all the stuff in this letter was legit, periodt.
The Jews made it a tradition for themselves and their future fam, promising to keep these two days every year, no doubt.
They wanted everyone to remember and celebrate these Purim days for all time, in every fam and city, no cap.
Then Queen Esther and Mordecai wrote with major authority to confirm this second Purim letter.
He sent these letters to all the Jews in the 127 provinces of Ahasuerus’ kingdom, spreading vibes of peace and truth.
So they made sure to keep Purim lit, just like Mordecai and Esther said, for them and their fam, all about those fasts and their vibes.
Esther's decree locked in these Purim vibes, and it got written down, no cap.
