Gen Z: Deuteronomy 29
These are the vibes of the covenant, which the Lord told Moses to make with the fam in Moab, next to the one He made at Horeb.
Moses gathered all of Israel and was like, "Y'all saw everything the Lord did in Egypt to Pharaoh, his crew, and all his land; no cap."
The wild temptations you peeped, the signs, and those epic miracles:
But the Lord hasn’t given you the rizz to vibe with your heart, see with your eyes, or hear with your ears, even today.
I led you for forty years in the desert: your drip ain’t old, and your kicks are still fresh.
You haven’t munched on bread or sipped wine or strong drinks: just to flex that I’m the Lord your God.
When you rolled up to this spot, Sihon, the king of Heshbon, and Og, the king of Bashan, came at us for a showdown, and we took them down:
We snagged their land and gave it as a W to the Reubenites, Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh.
So keep the words of this covenant and do them, so you can pop off in everything you do.
You all stand today before the Lord your God; your squad leaders, elders, officers, and all the men of Israel, periodt.
Bring your fam, your wives, and that dude chillin' in your camp, from the wood chopper to the water fetcher, no cap.
You gotta vibe with the Lord your God and join the oath He’s dropping today, fr.
He’s setting you up to be His peeps, and He’ll be your God, just like He promised to your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
I’m not just making this deal with you, periodt.
But with everyone here today before the Lord our God, and even those who aren’t here with us right now, bet.
(You know how we rolled through Egypt and all the nations we passed by, right?)
And you peeped their sus vibes, their idols made of wood, stone, silver, and gold, all around them.
Just don’t let any dude, gal, fam, or tribe turn away from the Lord our God today to chase after those nation’s gods; don’t let a bitter root pop up.
If anyone hears this curse and thinks, “I’m chill, I’ll be fine even if I do my own thing,” that’s savage.
The Lord won’t hold back; His anger will light up against that person, and all the curses in this book will stick to him, and He’ll wipe his name off the list, no cap.
And the Lord is like, "You're outta here," separating him from all the tribes of Israel, 'cause of the savage curses in this law book.
Future gens and randoms from far lands will see the vibes of the plagues and sicknesses the Lord dropped on this land, no cap.
This whole place is just brimstone and salt, burning up, no crops or grass, like when Sodom and Gomorrah got wrecked, periodt.
All the nations will be like, "Why did the Lord do this to this land? What's up with all this heat?"
Then people will say, "They ghosted the covenant with the Lord God of their fams when He brought them outta Egypt."
They went and vibed with other gods, worshipping those they didn’t even know, which the Lord didn’t give them, fr.
The Lord got mad at this land, bringing all the savage curses written in this book upon it.
The Lord yeeted them outta their land in anger and wrath, tossing them into another land, just like today.
The secret stuff is all on the Lord our God, but the revealed things are for us and our kiddos forever, so we can slay all the words of this law.
