Gen Z: 1 Kings 9
So, Solomon finished building the Lord's crib and his own palace, all the stuff he was vibing to do.
Then the Lord pulled up to Solomon again, just like He did at Gibeon.
The Lord was like, "I heard your prayers, fam. I blessed this house you built, and my name's gonna chill here forever; my eyes and heart are locked in."
If you keep it real and walk like your dad David did, with a pure heart and all that, doing what I told you and following my rules:
Then I'll keep your throne lit forever in Israel, just like I promised David, saying no one will ever bounce from that seat.
But if you or your kids dip on me, not keeping my commandments and start serving other gods:
I'm gonna ghost Israel from the land I gave them; this house I blessed? Outta my sight, and Israel will be a joke to everyone.
And when people see this high house, they'll be shook and say, "Why did the Lord do this to the land and this house?"
They'll answer, "It's 'cause they ditched the Lord their God who brought their ancestors outta Egypt and started worshipping other gods."
So, after twenty years of Solomon building the two houses, the Lord's crib and the king's palace, it was all set.
So Hiram, the king of Tyre, hooked Solomon up with mad cedar and fir trees, plus gold, like, whatever he wanted, and then Solomon was like, "Here, take these twenty cities in Galilee."
Hiram rolled up from Tyre to check out the cities Solomon gave him, and honestly, he was not vibing with them.
He was like, "What are these cities you gave me, bro?" and named them Cabul, and they still go by that name today.
Hiram shot a message to the king with sixscore talents of gold, no cap.
This is why Solomon had to raise a squad; he was building the Lord's house, his own crib, Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, plus Hazor, Megiddo, and Gezer.
Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, rolled up, snatched Gezer, burned it down, and took out the Canaanites living there, giving it as a gift to his daughter, who was Solomon's wife.
Solomon built up Gezer and Beth-horon down low,
and Baalath, and Tadmor in the desert, in the land,
plus all the cities for storing stuff, chariots, and horsemen, and everything else Solomon wanted to build in Jerusalem, Lebanon, and all his territory.
And all the peeps left from the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, who weren’t part of Israel,
The kids left in the land that Israel didn’t fully wipe out? Solomon's making them do work for him, no cap.
But Solomon didn’t make the Israelites his slaves; they were his squad, his warriors, and his crew, periodt.
These were the top dogs running Solomon’s projects, five hundred and fifty of them, keeping everything lit.
Pharaoh’s daughter rolled outta David's city to her crib that Solomon built for her, and then he made Millo pop off.
Three times a year, Solomon was all about those burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar he set up for the Lord, finishing the house with some incense vibes.
King Solomon built a dope navy of ships in Ezion–geber, right by Eloth on the Red Sea shore, in Edom land.
Hiram sent his crew, sea pros, in the navy with Solomon’s squad, and they were ready to sail.
They hit up Ophir and brought back some serious gold, four hundred and twenty talents, for king Solomon.
