Gen Z: Psalms 9
I'm gonna hype you up, Lord, with my whole heart; gotta flex all your dope works.
I’m vibing and stoked in you: I’ll sing your praises, O most High.
When my haters bounce back, they’re gonna eat dirt in your presence, no cap.
You’ve got my back, judging right from your throne; that’s goated.
You’ve called out the sus, wiped out the wicked, and their names are gone for good.
Yo, enemy, your destruction is done; you’ve wrecked cities, and now they’re just ghost towns.
But the Lord’s gonna be here forever: he’s got his throne ready for judgment vibes.
He’ll judge the world with straight-up righteousness, bringing that good judgment to the people.
The Lord’s a safe space for the oppressed, always there when times get tough.
Those who know your name will trust you: you, Lord, never ghost those who seek you.
Sing it loud for the Lord chilling in Zion: let the people know what you’ve done.
When he checks for blood, he remembers: he doesn’t forget the cries of the humble.
Show me mercy, Lord; peep my struggles from the haters; lift me up from death’s gates.
So I can flex all your praise at the gates of Zion’s daughter: I’ll be hyped for your salvation.
The sus are stuck in their own trap: the net they set caught their own foot.
The Lord’s known for the judgment he brings: the wicked are caught in their own game. Higgaion. Selah.
The wicked are heading to the bad place, along with all the nations that forget God.
The needy won’t be forgotten forever: the hopes of the poor won’t fade out.
Rise up, Lord; don’t let man win: let the nations get judged in your sight.
Make them feel that fear, Lord: so the nations know they’re just human. Selah.
