Gen Z: Psalms 50
The big guy, the Lord, just spoke and called the earth from sunrise to sunset. Vibes.
From Zion, where beauty's on point, God’s light is shining.
Our God is pulling up, and He’s not keeping it chill: fire’s gonna devour, and the vibes are wild around Him.
He’s calling up to the heavens and down to the earth to judge His peeps.
Gather my saints to me; those who made a pact with me through sacrifice, bet.
The heavens are gonna drop the truth: God’s the ultimate judge, periodt.
Yo, my people, listen up; Israel, I’m about to spill the tea: I’m God, your God.
I’m not gonna call you out for your sacrifices or burnt offerings; they’ve been lit before me.
I’m not taking any bull from your crib, or goats from your flock, no cap.
Every beast in the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills? All mine, fam.
I know all the birds in the mountains, and the wild beasts? They’re mine too.
If I was hungry, I wouldn’t even tell you; the world is mine, and everything in it, fr.
Am I gonna eat bulls or drink goat blood? That’s sus.
Bring thanks to God and keep your promises to the Most High, that slaps.
Call on me when you’re in trouble; I got you, and you’ll give me mad glory.
But to the wicked, God’s like, what are you doing declaring my rules, or taking my covenant in your mouth?
You hate instruction and toss my words behind you, savage.
When you saw a thief, you were down with him, and you’ve been chillin’ with adulterers.
You’re spreading evil with your mouth, and your tongue is crafting lies.
You sit there talking smack about your brother; you’re slandering your own mom’s kid.
You’ve done all this, and I stayed quiet; you thought I was just like you, but I’m gonna call you out and lay it all out before your eyes.
Now think about this, you who forget God, or I’ll tear you apart, and no one will save you.
Whoever praises me is gonna get the glory, and to those who keep it real in their talk, I’ll show them God’s salvation.
