Gen Z: Numbers 32
The crew from Reuben and Gad had mad cattle, and when they peeped Jazer and Gilead, they were like, "This place is lit for cows."
So, the Gad and Reuben squad rolled up to Moses, Eleazar, and the leaders, like, "Yo, we gotta talk."
Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Shebam, Nebo, and Beon, all the spots you need to know.
Even the land that God took down for Israel is solid for cattle, and we got cows, no cap.
So they were like, "If we’re cool in your eyes, let us have this land for our peeps and skip the Jordan trip."
Moses was like, "So, your bros gonna go to war while you chill here?"
And why you gotta bring down the vibes for Israel, making them not wanna enter the land God gave them?
Your pops did the same when I sent them from Kadesh to check out the land.
When they hit up the valley of Eshcol and scoped the land, they totally discouraged Israel from going in.
And God got mad right then and there, swearing, "Periodt."
For real, none of the peeps who dipped from Egypt, 20 and up, are seeing the promised land I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; they didn’t follow me, no cap.
Except for Caleb and Joshua; those homies totally vibed with the Lord.
God was mad at Israel, making them wander in the desert for 40 years until that whole shady generation was gone.
Look, you guys are just like your dads, more sinful peeps, adding to God’s anger towards Israel.
If you dip on Him, He’ll leave y’all in the wilderness again, and that’ll mess up the whole squad.
They rolled up to Moses and said, “We’ll build some sheep pens for our cows and cities for the kiddos.”
But we’ll go in front, ready to fight for Israel, until they’re all set, and our kids will chill in the safe cities 'cause of the locals.
We ain’t going back home until every Israelite gets their piece of the land.
We’re not getting our share on the other side of the Jordan; our inheritance is over here, east side.
Moses told them, “If you pull this off, if you’re down to fight for the Lord,”
Y’all gotta roll out armed across the Jordan for the Lord until He clears out the enemies, no cap.
Once the land is chill with the Lord, you can bounce back guilt-free, and this land will be yours, periodt.
But if you don’t do this, just know you’ve sinned against the Lord: your wrongs will catch up to you, fr.
Build cities for your kiddos and pens for your sheep; keep it real with what you said.
The Gad and Reuben crew told Moses, "We got you, we’ll do what you say, no doubt."
Our kids, wives, flocks, and all our cattle will chill in the cities of Gilead.
But we’re rolling out, every dude ready for battle, before the Lord, just like you said.
So Moses hit up Eleazar the priest, Joshua, and the main fams of Israel’s tribes about this.
Moses said, "If Gad and Reuben roll with you across the Jordan, armed for battle, and the land is yours; then Gilead is theirs."
But if they don’t roll out armed, they can have their stuff in Canaan with you.
The kids of Gad and Reuben were like, "For real, we got you. We’ll do what the Lord told us, no cap."
We’re gonna roll out armed before the Lord into Canaan, so we can claim our spot on this side of the Jordan.
Moses hooked up Gad, Reuben, and half of Manasseh with the kingdom of Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, plus all the cities around.
The kids of Gad built Dibon, Ataroth, and Aroer, straight up.
And they also made Atroth, Shophan, Jaazer, and Jogbehah, no cap.
They built fenced cities like Beth-nimrah and Beth-haran, plus some sick sheep pens.
The kids of Reuben built Heshbon, Elealeh, and Kirjathaim, fr.
And they renamed Nebo, Baal-meon, and Shibmah, giving new names to the cities they built, periodt.
The fam of Machir, son of Manasseh, rolled into Gilead, took it, and kicked the Amorites out.
Moses gave Gilead to Machir, and he was chilling there.
So Jair, Manasseh's kid, rolled up and snagged the little towns, naming them Havoth–jair.
Nobah swooped in, took Kenath and the nearby spots, and named it Nobah, keeping it real with his own name.
