Gen Z: Micah 6
Yo, listen up! The Lord's like, "Get up and pop off in front of the mountains, let the hills catch your vibes."
Ayo mountains, peep the Lord’s drama, and you solid foundations of the earth: God’s got beef with His people, and He’s gonna plead with Israel.
My peeps, what’s the deal? What did I do to tire you out? Spill the tea against me.
I pulled you outta Egypt, freed you from being servants; I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam to vibe with you.
Yo, my people, remember what Balak, the king of Moab, was on about and what Balaam said from Shittim to Gilgal; that you know the Lord’s rizz.
How should I roll up to the Lord? Should I bow down with burnt offerings or calves that are just a year old?
Is the Lord gonna be hyped with thousands of rams or tons of oil? Should I give my firstborn for my mess-ups, the fruit of my body for my soul’s sins?
He showed you, fam, what’s good; the Lord just wants you to keep it real, love mercy, and walk humble with your God.
The Lord’s voice is calling to the city, and wise peeps will see your name: listen to the rod and who set it up.
Are there still treasures of wickedness in the wicked's crib, and that sus measure that’s straight-up gross?
Should I call them pure with wicked scales and a bag of shady weights?
The rich are all about violence, and the people are spitting lies, their tongues are sus.
So I’m gonna make you sick for your sins, leaving you all desolate.
You’ll eat but won’t be satisfied; you’ll feel down, and whatever you grab won’t help; what you do get, I’ll give to the sword.
You’ll plant, but won’t harvest; you’ll tread olives, but won’t get that oil; you’ll have sweet wine, but won’t sip.
For the laws of Omri are still a thing, and you’re walking in Ahab's vibes; I’ll make you a desolation, and the people will hiss at you: you’ll carry the shame of my people.
