Gen Z: Job 40
Yo, the Lord hit up Job and was like,
Who’s tryna school the Almighty? If you got beef with God, then spill the tea.
Then Job was like, "Aight, Lord, listen up,"
I’m feeling super lowkey; what’s my comeback? I’m just gonna keep it zipped.
I’ve spoken once, but I’m not gonna say more; for real, I’m done.
Then the Lord dropped knowledge on Job from the storm, saying,
Strap up like a boss: I got questions for you, so let’s hear it.
You tryna flip my judgment? You think you’re right and I’m sus?
Can you flex like God? Can you throw down thunder with your voice?
Deck yourself out in majesty and lit vibes; show off your glory and style.
Let loose that rage and check all the proud ones; bring ‘em down a notch.
Look at the prideful and humble them; stomp out the wicked where they stand.
Bury them in the dust and keep their faces on the low.
Then I’ll admit that your own right hand can pull you through.
Check out behemoth, the one I made with you; he munches on grass like a cow.
For real, his strength is in his core, and his power’s in his belly.
He sways his tail like a cedar; his sinews are all wrapped up.
His bones are tough like brass; they’re solid like iron bars.
He’s the GOAT of God’s creation; the one who made him can get him to flex.
The mountains drop him food, where all the wild animals vibe.
He chills under the shady trees, in the reeds and marshes.
The trees throw shade on him; the willows by the brook got his back.
Look, he drinks up rivers and doesn’t rush; he thinks he can gulp down Jordan.
He’s got his eyes on it; his nose sniffs out traps.
