Gen Z: Job 19
So Job was like, "Yo, let’s talk."
"How long you gonna mess with my vibes and break me down with your words?"
"Y’all have called me out like ten times, no cap, and you don’t even feel sus about it."
"If I messed up, that’s on me, fr."
"If you’re just flexing on me and throwing shade, that’s wild."
"Just know, God’s got me in a chokehold, and I can’t escape this net."
"I’m out here crying for justice, but no one’s listening; I’m shouting, but it’s all crickets."
"He’s blocked my path, and I can’t get through, like it’s all just dark vibes."
"He’s stripped me of my glow and took my crown, like, what even?"
"He’s wrecked me on all sides, and I’m out here hopeless, like a tree just uprooted."
God's low-key mad at me, and he sees me like one of his haters.
His squad rolls up, coming at me, and they’re camping out around my spot.
My fam is hella distant, and my homies are totally ghosting me.
My peeps have dipped, and my close friends forgot I exist.
The folks in my crib and my maids treat me like a total stranger: I’m a whole alien to them.
I hit up my servant, but he left me on read; I was begging him, no cap.
My breath’s sus to my wife, even though I was asking for the kids’ sake.
For real, the kids were throwing shade at me; I stood up, and they were talking smack.
All my inner circle is straight up against me: the ones I loved flipped on me.
My bones are sticking to my skin, and I’m just hanging on by a thread.
Yo, show me some love, fam; God’s hand hit me hard, no cap.
Why you coming for me like God, and still not satisfied with my vibes?
Man, I wish my words were written down! Like, printed in a whole book, fr!
They should be carved with an iron pen and locked in stone forever, periodt!
I know my redeemer is alive, and he’s gonna pop off on the last day here on Earth.
Even when worms mess up this body, I’m still gonna see God in my flesh, no cap.
I’m gonna see him for myself, and my eyes will witness it, not someone else's; my soul is lit.
But you should be asking, why are we coming for him when the root of the issue is me?
Better watch out for the sword: wrath brings the sword’s punishments, so you know there’s a judgment.
