Gen Z: Jeremiah 50
The word from the Lord about Babylon and the Chaldeans through Jeremiah, no cap.
Spread the word, fam! Babylon's toast, Bel's shook, and Merodach got wrecked; all their idols are sus and smashed.
A nation’s rolling in from the north, about to wreck the land; no one’s chilling there anymore, just peace out, man and beast alike.
In those days, God’s saying the Israelites and Judah’s gonna come through, crying and seeking the Lord, fr.
They’re gonna ask for the way to Zion, like, “Yo, let’s vibe with the Lord and make a forever pact that’s lit.”
My peeps are lost sheep, their leaders led them astray, climbing mountains and forgetting their chill spot, savage.
Everyone who found them just ate them up; their enemies were like, “We good, they messed up against the Lord, their justice vibes.”
Bounce from Babylon, fam, and dip outta the Chaldeans, be like the rams leading the flock.
I’m raising a squad of big nations from the north against Babylon; they’re gonna roll up and take her down, arrows on point, no misses.
Chaldea’s gonna be a hot mess; everyone who takes from her will be satisfied, says the Lord, periodt.
Y'all were vibin' hard, flexin' like kings, but now you're just fat cows munchin' grass, makin' noise like bulls; no cap.
Your mom's gonna be hella embarrassed, fam; the last of the nations is gonna be a wasteland, just dry and desert vibes.
The Lord's mad, so it's gonna be a ghost town; anyone rollin' by Babylon will be shook and hiss at all her drama.
Squad up against Babylon, archers; let loose those arrows, don't hold back: she messed with the Lord, fr.
Yell at her from all sides: she showed her hand, her foundation's crumbled, walls down; it's the Lord's revenge, do to her what she did.
Cut off all the farmers in Babylon, and those with sickles at harvest time; they're gonna bounce back to their peeps, scared of the sword.
Israel's like a lost sheep; lions chased him away: first, the Assyrian king snatched him up, then Nebuchadrezzar from Babylon broke him down.
So the Lord of hosts, God of Israel, says: I'm coming for the Babylon king and his land, just like I did to the Assyrian king.
I'm bringing Israel back home, and he's gonna feast on Carmel and Bashan, his soul's gonna be lit on mount Ephraim and Gilead.
In those days, says the Lord, they'll look for Israel's sins and find none; Judah's sins won't show up either, 'cause I'm gonna forgive the ones I keep.
Pull up on the land of Merathaim and the crew in Pekod: wreck it and totally destroy everything, says the Lord, and do all the stuff I told you to do.
There's a battle vibe in the land, and it’s major destruction.
How is the whole earth’s hammer getting wrecked and broken! Babylon is straight-up a ghost town among the nations!
I set a trap for you, Babylon, and you didn’t even see it coming: you’re caught because you tried to flex on the Lord.
The Lord opened His armory and pulled out the weapons of His anger: this is how the Lord God of hosts rolls in the land of the Chaldeans.
Roll up on her from the farthest edge, crack open her stash: pile her up and wipe her out completely; leave nothing behind.
Take out all her bulls; send them to the slaughter: it’s rough for them! Their day has come, the time for their reckoning.
You can hear the voices of those who are running and escaping from Babylon, shouting in Zion about the Lord our God’s revenge, the revenge for His temple.
Gather the archers against Babylon: all you who can shoot, set up camp around her; don’t let anyone escape: pay her back for what she’s done; she’s been way too proud against the Lord, against the Holy One of Israel.
So, her young men will drop in the streets, and all her warriors will be taken out that day, says the Lord.
Yo, I'm totally coming for you, super proud one, says the Lord God of hosts: your time's up, I'm pulling up on you.
The proud will trip and fall, no one's gonna help them up: I'm lighting a fire in their cities, and it’s gonna consume everything around.
The Lord of hosts says this; Israel and Judah were oppressed together: those who captured them held tight; they just wouldn't let them go, no cap.
Their Redeemer is a beast; the Lord of hosts is his name: He’s gonna fight for them, giving peace to the land and shaking up the peeps in Babylon.
A sword's coming for the Chaldeans, says the Lord, and for the folks in Babylon, their leaders, and their wise guys.
A sword's on the liars; they're gonna freak out: a sword's on the strong men; they're gonna be shook.
A sword's on their horses and chariots, and all the mixed peeps in the middle of it; they’ll act like ladies: a sword's on their treasures; they’re gonna get robbed.
A drought's hitting their waters; they’ll dry up: it’s the land of carved idols, and they’re obsessed with their false gods, fr.
So, the wild beasts from the desert and islands will chill there, and the owls will make it home: it’s gonna be uninhabited forever; no one’s living there ever again.
Just like God flipped Sodom and Gomorrah and their nearby cities, says the Lord; no one will stay there, and no humans will live there, periodt.
Yo, a crew’s rolling in from the north, a whole nation, and mad kings gonna rise up from all over the globe.
They’re packing bows and lances, total savages, no mercy given: their roar hits like the ocean, riding horses all suited up, ready to battle, against you, O Babylon.
The king of Babylon caught wind of them, and he’s shook; anxiety hit him like a wave, feeling those labor pains.
Check it, he’s coming in like a lion from the Jordan, but I’m about to make them bounce real quick: who’s my chosen one to handle her? Who’s got the rizz to set the time? Who’s that shepherd that’s got my back?
So listen up to the Lord’s plan against Babylon; his goals for the Chaldeans are set: even the smallest sheep gonna lead them out, and he’ll make their crib empty.
When Babylon gets taken, the earth shakes, and the nations be hearing the drama.
