Gen Z: Isaiah 32
Yo, a king's gonna rule with mad righteousness, and the princes will be judging like pros.
And a dude will be like a chill spot from the wind, a safe zone from the storm; think rivers in the desert, or a big rock's shade in a tired land.
The eyes of those who see won’t be dimmed, and the ears of those who hear will totally listen up.
Even the reckless will get some knowledge, and those who stutter will be ready to spill the truth.
No more calling the sketchy peeps generous, or the stingy ones rich.
'Cause the shady ones will be all about that villain life, plotting evil, being fake, and messing with the hungry and thirsty.
The churl's tools are sus: they create lies to take down the poor, even when the needy are spitting facts.
But the generous one is all about good vibes; they’ll stand strong with their good deeds.
Yo, rise up, you chill women; listen up, you careless daughters; hear what I gotta say.
You careless ladies are gonna have a rough time, 'cause the harvest is gonna flop, and the gathering ain't coming.
Get shook, you chill women; be worried, you careless ones: strip down, get real, and put on sackcloth.
They’ll be sad about the milk, the nice fields, and the fruitful vines.
Thorns and briars are gonna pop up in my people's land; yeah, all the happy houses in the joyful city are gonna suffer.
'Cause the palaces will be abandoned; the city's crowd will be left behind; the forts and towers will turn into dens forever, wild asses' hangout, and a flock's pasture.
Until the spirit is poured out on us from above, and the wilderness becomes a dope field, and the fruitful field is seen as a forest.
Then judgment will chill in the wilderness, and righteousness will stay in the fruitful field.
And the work of righteousness will bring peace; and the result of that righteousness will be mad chill and assurance forever.
And my people will vibe in a peaceful place, in secure homes, and in quiet chill spots;
When it hails, coming down on the forest; and the city will be low-key in a low place.
Blessed are those who sow by all waters, sending out the feet of the ox and the donkey.
