Gen Z: Isaiah 28
Yo, vibes are off for the prideful crown and the lit drunks of Ephraim, whose beauty is like a flower that's fading, chillin' on the heads of those drowning in wine.
Check it, the Lord's got a savage one coming in hot, like a hailstorm and a flood, ready to drop some serious truth on the earth.
The prideful crown and the Ephraim drunks? They’re about to get stepped on, no cap.
That glorious beauty on the fat valley's head? It’s just a fading flower, like fruit that’s ripe but gonna spoil real quick.
On that day, the Lord of hosts is gonna be a crown of glory and a goated diadem for the squad that’s left.
And He’s bringing a spirit of judgment for those judging and strength for the homies ready to fight at the gate.
But for real, they’ve messed up from the wine, and their strong drinks got them lost; even the priest and prophet are trippin' hard on that liquor, stumbling in their judgment.
All the tables are straight-up nasty with vomit and filth, like, there’s no clean spot at all.
Who’s gonna get schooled on knowledge? Who’s gonna grasp the doctrine? Only those who’ve moved on from milk and are ready for the real deal.
It’s all about precept on precept, line on line; a little here, a little there, that’s how we roll.
God’s gonna talk to the squad with some stammering lips and a whole new vibe.
He’s like, “This is the chill zone for the tired peeps; this is the refresh, but y’all ain’t listening.”
But the Lord’s word was like, “Precept on precept, line on line; a little here, a little there,” so they’d end up trippin’ and getting wrecked.
So listen up, you haters ruling the squad in Jerusalem, catch the word of the Lord.
Y’all said, “We made a deal with death and vibed with hell; when the drama hits, it won’t touch us, ‘cause we’re hiding in lies.”
So the Lord God’s like, “Check it, I’m laying down a solid stone in Zion, a goated corner stone; if you believe, you won’t be rushing.”
I’m bringing judgment to the line and righteousness to the scale; the hail’s gonna wipe out those lies, and the waters will flood your hiding spots.
Your deal with death? Yeah, that’s getting canceled; your hell agreement? Not gonna stand; when the drama hits, you’ll be crushed by it.
Once it starts rolling, it’s coming for you, morning and night; it’s only gonna stress you out trying to get the scoop.
The bed’s too short for you to stretch out, and the cover’s too tight to wrap up in.
The Lord’s gonna rise up like it’s mount Perazim, getting real heated like in Gibeon, doing His thing, that wild work; bringing His moves, that strange act, no cap.
So don’t be out here mocking, or your squad’s gonna get wrecked; I heard from the Lord God of hosts, it’s a whole vibe for the earth.
Listen up, fam, hear my voice; pay attention and catch my vibe.
Does a plowman grind all day just to sow? Does he break up the dirt like it’s nothing?
When he clears the ground, doesn’t he spread the seeds and scatter the herbs, throwing in that prime wheat and the barley where it belongs?
His God’s teaching him how to play it smart, giving him the knowledge, fr.
Fitches aren’t threshed with fancy tools, and you don’t roll a cart over the cummin; nah, the fitches get beaten with a stick, and the cummin’s done with a rod.
Bread corn gets bruised; He’s not always threshing it, or rolling it with the cart, or smashing it with the horses, periodt.
This also comes from the Lord of hosts, who’s got the rizz in counsel and is goated in action.
