Gen Z: Isaiah 19
Egypt's got some heavy vibes. Check it, the Lord's rollin' in on a fast cloud, and when He shows up, the idols are gonna be shook, and Egypt's heart is gonna melt, no cap.
I'm about to make the Egyptians go all out against each other: bro vs. bro, neighbor vs. neighbor; city vs. city, kingdom vs. kingdom.
The spirit of Egypt’s gonna be weak sauce; I’m gonna wreck their plans, and they’ll be looking to their idols, charmers, and wizards for help.
I’m handing over the Egyptians to a savage ruler; a fierce king’s gonna be their boss, says the Lord of hosts.
The waters are gonna dip from the sea, and the river's gonna be all dried up, fr.
They’ll turn the rivers away; the brooks for defense will be empty and dry, and the reeds are gonna wither.
The paper reeds by the brooks and everything planted near them will wither away and be gone, periodt.
The fishers are gonna be sad, and everyone casting lines into the brooks will be bummed, while those spreading nets on the waters will just chill.
Those working with fine flax and weaving networks are gonna be confused, no cap.
They’ll be wrecked in their plans, all those making sluices and ponds for fish.
For real, the princes of Zoan are total fools; Pharaoh’s wise guys are acting brutish: how do they even tell Pharaoh they’re the sons of the wise kings?
Where they at? Where are the wise peeps? Let them spill the tea on what the Lord of hosts is planning for Egypt.
The princes of Zoan are straight-up lost, and those from Noph are getting played; they’ve led Egypt astray, even the ones holding it together.
The Lord’s mixed in a twisted spirit in the middle of it all; they’ve made Egypt mess up like a drunk dude stumbling in his own mess.
Egypt won’t have any work to do, whether it’s head or tail, branch or rush, it’s all a no-go.
On that day, Egypt’s gonna be like women, scared and shook because of the Lord’s hand shaking over them.
The land of Judah’s gonna be a whole vibe of terror for Egypt; anyone mentioning it will be lowkey scared because of the Lord’s plans against it.
On that day, five cities in Egypt will be speaking Canaanite and swearing to the Lord of hosts; one’s gonna be called The City of Destruction.
On that day, there’ll be an altar to the Lord right in the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border for the Lord.
It’ll be a sign and a witness to the Lord of hosts in Egypt: they’ll cry out to the Lord because of their oppressors, and He’ll send a goated savior to deliver them.
The Lord’s gonna be known in Egypt, and the Egyptians will know Him that day, and they’ll do sacrifices and offerings; they’ll vow to the Lord and keep it real.
The Lord’s gonna smack Egypt: He’ll hit and heal it; they’ll come back to the Lord, and He’ll be there for them and heal them up.
On that day, there’ll be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrians will roll into Egypt, and the Egyptians will head to Assyria, serving together, no cap.
On that day, Israel’s gonna be the third wheel with Egypt and Assyria, even a blessing in the land.
The Lord of hosts will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt, my peeps, and Assyria, the work of my hands, and Israel, my inheritance.”
