Gen Z: Genesis 40
So, the king's butler and baker in Egypt totally messed up with Pharaoh. Major sus vibes.
Pharaoh was heated at his two homies, the head butler and the head baker.
He locked them up in the captain's crib, where Joseph was chillin' too.
The captain was like, "Yo Joseph, take care of these guys," and they all vibed in there for a minute.
They both had dreams that night, and each one was lit in its own way, but no one could decode them.
Joseph rolled in the next morning and saw they were looking all down, no cap.
He asked Pharaoh’s peeps, "Why y’all looking so bummed today?"
They replied, "We had these dreams, but there’s no one to interpret them." Joseph said, "Ain't interpretations God's thing? Spill the tea."
The chief butler shared his dream with Joseph, saying, "In my dream, a vine was right in front of me."
And the vine had three branches, and it looked like it was about to bud, with blossoms popping off and ripe grapes coming through.
Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand, so I squished the grapes and poured it into his cup. Here you go, Pharaoh.
Joseph was like, "Let me break it down for you: the three branches mean three days, no cap."
"In three days, Pharaoh’s gonna vibe check you, bring you back to your spot, and you’ll be handing him his cup again, just like old times."
"But remember me when you’re living your best life, and show me some love by mentioning me to Pharaoh, so I can bounce from this place."
"For real, I got taken from my home, and I haven’t done anything wrong to end up in this dungeon, fr."
The chief baker saw that the vibes were good and said to Joseph, "I had a dream too, and I was rocking three white baskets on my head."
"And the top basket was full of all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, but the birds were munching on them right off my head."
Joseph replied, "Here’s the scoop: those three baskets represent three days."
"In three days, Pharaoh’s gonna lift you up and hang you on a tree; the birds will feast on your flesh, that’s savage."
"On the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, he threw a lit feast for all his crew, lifting up the chief butler and chief baker."
And he brought the head butler back to his old job, handing him the cup like, "You vibin' again."
But the head baker got the ultimate L: he was hanged, just like Joseph said.
Still, the head butler totally ghosted Joseph and forgot about him, no cap.
