Gen Z: Ezekiel 44
He took me back to the gate of the outer sanctuary facing east, and it was totally shut.
The Lord was like, "This gate's staying shut, no cap. No one’s getting in here 'cause I rolled through it."
This gate's for the prince; he’s gonna chill here and eat bread in front of the Lord, entering through the porch and dipping out the same way.
Then he showed me the north gate by the house, and I peeped the glory of the Lord filling the house; I was straight up on my face.
The Lord said to me, “Yo, Son of man, pay attention and see with your eyes, listen with your ears to everything I’m telling you about the house rules and how to roll in and out of the sanctuary.”
Tell the rebellious ones, the house of Israel, "The Lord God says: enough of your wilding."
You’ve brought in outsiders, all sus and uncircumcised in heart and flesh, to mess up my sanctuary when you offer my bread, the fat, and the blood. You’ve broken my covenant with all your wild behavior.
You haven’t kept the charge of my holy things; instead, you’ve put your own keepers in charge for your own vibe.
The Lord God says, “No outsider, uncircumcised in heart or flesh, is getting into my sanctuary, not any of those outsiders among Israel.”
And the Levites who dipped out when Israel went off chasing idols; they’re gonna carry their guilt.
They’re gonna be the vibe checkers in my sanctuary, holding it down at the gates and handling the offerings for the people, no cap.
They were out here serving their idols, leading Israel into some sus stuff; so I’m like, “Bet,” and now they gotta deal with their own mess, says the Lord God.
They can't roll up to me as priests or touch any of my holy stuff in the most holy place; they gotta own their shame and all the wrong they did.
But I’ll have them as the keepers of the house, handling all the business and whatever goes down in there.
The priests, the Levites, the sons of Zadok, who stayed loyal when Israel was wilding out, they can come close to me to serve and bring the good stuff, says the Lord God.
They’ll step into my sanctuary and roll up to my table to serve, keeping it 100 with my charge.
When they walk through the gates of the inner court, they gotta be dripped in linen fits; no wool allowed while they’re on duty in the gates.
They’ll rock linen bonnets on their heads and linen breeches on their waists; no sweating it out with anything else.
When they step out to the outer court for the people, they’ll ditch their ministry fits, stash them in the holy rooms, and put on fresh gear; can’t bless the people with those old clothes.
They can’t be shaving their heads or letting their hair get out of control; just keep it neat, fam.
No priest is sippin' that wine when they step into the inner court, fr.
They can't be wifin' up widows or those who got kicked to the curb; only maidens from Israel, or a widow who had a priest before, bet.
They gotta teach my people what’s holy vs. what’s sus, and help them vibe check the clean from the unclean.
When there’s drama, they’ll judge it right; they stick to my rules and keep it lit in all my meet-ups, and they’ll keep my sabbaths holy, periodt.
They can’t mess with dead bodies to keep it clean, but for fam like dad, mom, son, daughter, bro, or sis who ain't married, they can, no cap.
After they’re cleansed, they gotta chill for seven days, no rush.
On the day they hit the sanctuary to serve, they need to drop their sin offering, says the Lord God, for real.
This is their inheritance: I’m their inheritance; no land for them in Israel, I’m all they need, goated.
They’ll chow down on the meat offering, sin offering, and all the dedicated stuff in Israel, that’s all theirs, no cap.
The first of all the firstfruits and every kind of your offerings goes to the priest; also give him the first of your dough to keep the blessings flowing in your crib.
The priests can’t munch on anything that’s like, dead on its own or ripped apart, whether it’s bird or beast.
