Gen Z: Ezekiel 36
Yo, fam, listen up! God’s got a message for the mountains of Israel: hear what the Lord’s gotta say.
The Lord God is like, “Bet! The enemy thinks they own you, acting all high and mighty.”
So prophesy this: The Lord God says, “Y’all got wrecked and are just a joke to the nations, but they’re about to regret it.”
Mountains of Israel, hear the word from the Lord God! He’s talking to you, the hills, rivers, and valleys, ‘cause you’ve been dissed and left high and dry.
The Lord God’s like, “No cap, I’m fired up against those nations thinking they can just take my land for fun.”
So prophesy about Israel’s land: the Lord God says, “I’m mad and I see how y’all have been shamed by the nations.”
For real, the Lord God is saying, “I’ve got your back, and those nations around you? They’re about to face their own shame.”
But you, mountains of Israel, get ready to grow and give fruit to my people; they’re about to roll up.
I’m all in for you, and I’ll turn things around; you’ll be tilled and sown again, no cap.
I’m about to multiply the people on you, all of Israel, and the cities will be popping again, while the wastelands get rebuilt.
I’m gonna boost the squad, both peeps and pets; they’ll thrive and bear fruit. I’ll hook you up better than before, and you’ll know I’m the Lord, no cap.
For real, I’ll have my crew walk on you, my people Israel; they’ll claim you, and you’ll be their vibe, never leaving them empty-handed again.
The Lord God’s saying, “They’re calling you out, land, saying you’re out here snatching lives and leaving nations in the dust.”
So you won’t be taking lives anymore, nor leaving nations in the dust, says the Lord God.
I won’t let people hear the shame of the outsiders through you anymore, and you won’t carry the blame of the people ever again, says the Lord God.
Plus, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
Yo, son of man, when Israel was chilling in their own land, they messed it up with their ways; their vibe was like the grossness of a woman on her period.
So I unleashed my anger on them for the blood they spilled on the land and for the idols that made it sus.
I scattered them among the outsiders, and they got spread out everywhere; based on their ways and actions, I judged them.
And when they rolled into the outsiders’ lands, they dissed my holy name, saying, “These are the peeps of the Lord, and they bounced from his land.”
But I felt bad for my holy name, which Israel totally dissed among the non-believers, wherever they rolled up.
So tell the house of Israel, "Yo, this is what the Lord God says: I ain't doing this for you, but for my holy name that you’ve dissed among the non-believers, wherever you went."
I'm gonna flex my great name, which got dissed among the non-believers, and they'll know I’m the Lord when I show up in you for real, periodt.
I'm pulling you out from the non-believers and bringing you back to your own land, no cap.
Then I’ll splash clean water on you, and you’ll be fresh: I’ll cleanse you from all your mess and all your fake idols.
I’m giving you a new heart and a fresh spirit; I’ll swap out your stony heart for a real one, fr.
I’ll put my spirit in you and help you live by my rules, and you’ll keep my judgments, no doubt.
You’ll chill in the land I gave to your ancestors; you’ll be my peeps, and I’ll be your God, lit.
I’ll save you from all your dirtiness: I’ll call for the crops, make them grow, and there won’t be any famines on you.
I’ll make the fruit of the trees and the fields pop off, so you won’t be getting any more shame from famines among the non-believers.
Y’all gonna remember your shady vibes and all the sus stuff you did, and you’ll feel hella bad about it for your wrongdoings, no cap.
Not doing this for you, fam, says the Lord God, just know you should be ashamed of your own ways, O house of Israel.
The Lord God says, when I clean you up from all your mess, you’ll chill in the cities, and the wrecked places will pop off.
The land that was empty will get all the love, while it used to be a no-go zone for everyone passing through.
They’ll be like, this place that was a total wreck is now vibing like the garden of Eden; the ruined cities are getting fenced up and livin’ large.
Then the outsiders left around you will see that I, the Lord, am fixing up the wrecked spots and bringing life to what was dead: I, the Lord, said it, and I’m gonna make it happen.
The Lord God says, I’m gonna get asked about this by the house of Israel, and I’ll hook them up with a crew like a flock.
Just like the holy squad, like the flock of Jerusalem during the big feasts; the empty cities will be filled with peeps, and they’ll know I am the Lord.
