Gen Z: Exodus 2
A dude from Levi's fam linked up with a girl from Levi too. Vibes.
She got pregnant and had a baby boy. When she saw he was super cute, she hid him for three months, no cap.
When she couldn't hide him anymore, she made a lil' boat from reeds, slathered it with pitch, and put the baby in it, laying it by the riverbank.
His sister was chillin' nearby, trying to see what was gonna happen.
Pharaoh's daughter rolled up to the river to wash, and her squad was walking by. She spotted the boat and told her maid to grab it.
She opened it and saw the baby crying. She felt for him and was like, "This is one of the Hebrew kids."
His sister asked Pharaoh’s daughter, "Wanna bet I can find a Hebrew woman to nurse him?"
Pharaoh’s daughter was like, "Bet, go for it." The maid bounced to get the baby's mom.
Pharaoh’s daughter told her, "Take this kid and nurse him for me, and I’ll pay you." So the woman took the baby and nursed him.
The kid grew up, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. She named him Moses, saying, "I pulled him outta the water."
Later, when Moses was grown, he peeped his people and saw them struggling. He saw an Egyptian beating up a Hebrew, one of his peeps.
He looked around, saw no one, and clapped the Egyptian, hiding him in the sand.
The next day, he saw two Hebrews fighting and was like, "Why you hitting your homie?"
One of them replied, "Who made you our boss? You gonna kill me like you did the Egyptian?" Moses was shook and thought, "They know."
When Pharaoh found out, he wanted Moses gone. So Moses dipped to Midian and chilled by a well.
The Midian priest had seven daughters who came to draw water for their dad's flock.
Some shepherds tried to push them away, but Moses stepped up, helped them out, and watered their sheep.
When they got back to their dad, Reuel was like, "Why you back so soon?"
They said, "An Egyptian saved us from those shepherds and even got us water for the flock."
He asked, "Where’s the dude? Why'd you leave him? Call him over for some food."
Moses was chill with Reuel, and he gave him his daughter Zipporah.
She had a son, and he named him Gershom, saying, "I’m a stranger in a strange land."
Eventually, the king of Egypt died, and the Israelites were over here sighing from the struggle. They cried out, and God heard them.
God caught their groans and remembered His promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
God looked at the Israelites and had mad respect for them.
