Gen Z: 2 Chronicles 2
Solomon was like, "I’m gonna build a dope house for the Lord's name and another for my kingdom."
So he called up 70,000 peeps to carry stuff, 80,000 to chop wood in the mountains, and 3,600 to supervise the whole vibe.
Solomon hit up Huram, king of Tyre, saying, "Just like you helped my dad David with the cedars for his crib, do the same for me, fam."
Check it, I’m building a house for the Lord my God, to dedicate it to Him, burn some sweet incense, and keep the bread game strong, morning and night, on the sabbaths and special feasts. This is a forever thing for Israel, periodt.
The house I’m building is gonna be major lit, 'cause our God is the GOAT above all gods.
But like, who can actually build Him a house? The heavens can’t even hold Him, so who am I to try, except to bring Him some fire sacrifices?
So send me a skilled dude who can work with gold, silver, brass, iron, and all those colors, so he can vibe with my crew in Judah and Jerusalem that my dad David hooked up.
Also, send me cedar, fir, and algum trees from Lebanon, 'cause I know your people are pros at cutting timber there, and my crew will roll with yours.
We need to prep a ton of wood, 'cause the house I’m building is gonna be straight-up amazing.
And I’ll hook your timber crew up with 20,000 measures of wheat, 20,000 measures of barley, 20,000 baths of wine, and 20,000 baths of oil.
Then Huram, king of Tyre, wrote back to Solomon, saying, "Since the Lord loves His people, He made you king over them, no cap."
Huram added, "Big ups to the Lord God of Israel who made heaven and earth, and gave David a wise son with mad skills to build a house for the Lord and his kingdom."
Now I’ve sent you a skilled guy, with understanding, from my dad Huram.
He’s the son of a Dan woman and his dad is from Tyre, super skilled in gold, silver, brass, iron, stone, timber, and all the colors, plus he can carve anything you want, working with your crew and my dad David’s crew.
So about that wheat, barley, oil, and wine my lord mentioned, just send it to your crew.
We’ll chop wood from Lebanon, however much you need, and bring it to you by sea to Joppa; you just gotta haul it up to Jerusalem.
Solomon counted all the foreigners in Israel, just like his dad David did, and they came out to 153,600.
He put 70,000 of them to carry loads, 80,000 to chop wood in the mountains, and 3,600 to supervise the grind.
