Gen Z: 2 Chronicles 1
Solomon, David's son, was vibin' strong in his kingdom, and the Lord was totally with him, making him look extra lit.
Then Solomon was like, "Yo, Israel!" talking to all the captains and judges, and the big bosses in the fam.
So Solomon and the whole squad went to the high spot at Gibeon; that's where the tabernacle was, made by Moses back in the day.
But the ark? David brought it up from Kirjath-jearim to the spot he set up for it, pitching a tent in Jerusalem.
Plus, the bronze altar that Bezaleel made, he put it right in front of the Lord's tabernacle, and Solomon and the crew were all about it.
Solomon went up to that bronze altar at the tabernacle and popped off a thousand burnt offerings.
That night, God showed up to Solomon and was like, "What do you want, fam?"
Solomon replied, "You showed mad mercy to my dad, David, and now I’m king in his place."
So, Lord God, let your promise to my dad be legit: you made me king over a squad as numerous as the dust.
Just give me wisdom and knowledge to lead these peeps, 'cause who can judge such a dope crowd?
And God said to Solomon, "Since you’re asking for wisdom, not for riches or your enemies or long life, but just to judge my people, I got you."
Wisdom and knowledge are yours; I’ll hook you up with riches and honor that no king before or after you will ever match.
Then Solomon rolled back from Gibeon to Jerusalem, straight from the tabernacle, and ruled over Israel.
Solomon gathered up chariots and horsemen: he had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horsemen, placing them in chariot cities and with him in Jerusalem.
The king made silver and gold in Jerusalem as common as stones, and cedar trees like the sycamores in the valley.
Solomon had horses brought in from Egypt, and the king's merchants were all about that linen yarn.
They brought up a chariot from Egypt for 600 shekels of silver and a horse for 150, getting horses for all the kings of the Hittites and Syria too.
