5He set this up in Joseph as a testimony when he was in Egypt, and I heard a language that was sus.

6I took off his shoulder from the burden; his hands got freed from the pots.

7You called out in trouble, and I came through; I answered in the thunder's secret place: I tested you at Meribah's waters. Selah.

8Listen up, my people, I’m gonna testify to you: O Israel, if you just vibe with me;

9No strange god should be among you; don’t worship any sus gods.

10I’m the Lord your God who brought you outta Egypt: open your mouth wide, and I’ll fill it up.

11But my peeps wouldn’t listen to my voice; Israel was like, “Nah.”

12So I let them follow their own hearts’ desires, and they walked in their own vibes.

13Man, if only my people had listened to me, and Israel had followed my ways!

14I could’ve easily crushed their enemies and turned my hand against their haters.

15The haters of the Lord should’ve submitted, but their time would’ve lasted forever.

16I would’ve fed them the finest wheat and satisfied them with honey from the rock.

8Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;

9There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.

10I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

11But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.

12So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

13Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

14I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.

15The haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.

16He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
