Gen Z: Psalms 77
I hit up God with my voice, like, "Yo!" and He totally listened.
When life was rough, I searched for the Lord: my pain was non-stop at night, and my soul was like, "No cap, I can't chill."
I thought about God and got stressed: I vented, and my spirit was just overwhelmed. Selah.
My eyes were wide open, but I was so shook I couldn’t even speak.
I looked back at the good ol' days, the years that were lit.
I remembered my nighttime jam: I was vibing with my heart, and my spirit was on a deep search.
Is the Lord just gonna ghost me forever? Is He not gonna show love anymore?
Did His mercy just dip for good? Is His promise done for?
Has God straight up forgotten to be nice? Is He mad and shut up His kindness? Selah.
I was like, "This is tough," but I'm gonna remember the epic moments from the most High.
I’ll remember what the Lord did: for sure, I'm gonna recall Your old-school wonders.
I’m gonna think about all Your work and chat about what You do.
Your way, God, is in the sanctuary: who’s as dope as our God?
You’re the God who does wonders: You flexed Your strength among the crew.
You redeemed Your people with Your arm, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.
The waters saw You, God, and were shook; even the depths were like, "Whoa."
The clouds dropped water: the skies made noise: Your arrows were flying everywhere.
Your thunder was booming in the sky: the lightning lit up the world: the earth was shaking.
Your way is in the sea, and Your path is in the deep waters, and we can’t even track Your steps.
You led Your people like a squad with Moses and Aaron in charge.
