Gen Z: Psalms 31
Yo, I’m trusting you, Lord; don’t let me down, fr. Save me with your rizz.
Lean in, Lord; scoop me up quick: be my solid rock, my safe spot.
You’re my rock and fortress; for your name’s vibes, lead and guide me.
Pull me outta the trap they set for me; you’re my strength, no cap.
I’m handing my spirit to you, Lord; you’ve saved me, God of truth.
I can’t stand those who chase lies; I’m all in with the Lord.
I’m vibin’ and celebrating your mercy; you’ve seen my struggles; you know my soul’s pain.
You haven’t left me in the enemy’s grip; you’ve set my feet in a chill place.
Show me mercy, Lord; I’m in a tough spot: my eyes are heavy with sadness, my soul and body too.
My life’s been all about grief, and I’m sighing hard: my strength’s fading 'cause of my mess-ups, and my bones are shot.
I’m a joke to my enemies, especially to my neighbors, and they bounce when they see me.
I’m forgotten like a ghost: just a broken vessel out here.
I’ve heard all the gossip: fear’s everywhere; they’re plotting against me to take me out.
But I’m trusting you, Lord: I said, you’re my God.
My life’s in your hands: save me from my enemies and those who chase me.
Let your face shine on me, your servant: save me for your mercy’s sake.
Don’t let me be ashamed, Lord; I called on you: let the wicked feel that shame and stay quiet in the grave.
Shut down the lying lips that speak harshly and proudly against the good ones.
Your goodness is epic, stored up for those who fear you; you’ve done great things for those who trust in you before others.
You’ll hide them in your secret space from the prideful; you’ll keep them safe from the drama.
Big ups to the Lord: he’s shown me his amazing kindness in a strong city.
I freaked out and thought I was cut off from you, but you heard my cries, no doubt.
Love the Lord, all you saints: he keeps it real with the faithful and rewards the bold.
Stay strong, and he’ll boost your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.
