Proverbs 9

Gen Z: Proverbs 9

1Wisdom's got her whole vibe set up, built her house with seven dope pillars.

2She’s straight-up cooked her feast, mixed her wine, and set the table like a boss.

3She’s calling out to the squad from the highest spots in the city, like, "Yo, come through!"

4If you’re just vibing, pull up here: she’s got the knowledge for those who need it.

5Come munch on my bread and sip this fire wine I mixed up, it’s bussin.

6Ditch the dumb stuff and live your best life; follow the path of wisdom, fr.

7If you call out a hater, you’re just asking for trouble; don’t mess with the wicked, it’s sus.

8Don’t waste your breath on a hater, they’ll just throw shade; but wise peeps will appreciate the realness.

9School a wise dude, and he’ll level up; teach a just person, and they’ll keep growing, no cap.

10Respect for the Lord is where wisdom kicks off; knowing the holy is straight-up understanding.

11With me, your days are about to get lit, and your life years will pop off.

12If you’re wise, that’s on you; but if you’re a hater, you’re gonna deal with that alone.

13A foolish girl is loud and clueless, just vibing with no real knowledge.

14She’s chilling at her front door, just hanging in the high spots of the city.

15She’s calling out to those just passing by, like, "Hey, come this way!"

16If you’re simple, pull up here: she’s got something for those wanting to know.

17Stolen vibes are sweet, and secret snacks hit different, fr.

18But they don’t know the dead are there; her guests are deep in some dark vibes.

KJV: Proverbs 9

1Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

2She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.

3She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,

4Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,

5Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.

6Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

7He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.

8Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

9Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

10The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

11For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.

12If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

13A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.

14For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,

15To call passengers who go right on their ways:

16Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,

17Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

18But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
