Gen Z: Obadiah 1
Yo, this is Obadiah's vision. God’s like, “Heard some tea about Edom. Time to pop off and battle these heathens.”
Check it, you’re low-key irrelevant among the heathens; everyone’s low-key hating on you.
Your heart's pride is sus, chilling in the rocks like, “Who can bring me down?”
Even if you’re flying high like an eagle, I’ll still bring you down, says the Lord.
If thieves hit you up at night, they’d take only what they need, right? Grapegatherers don’t leave empty-handed!
Bro, Esau’s secrets are getting exposed; like, how is this happening?
Your homies have dipped on you; the ones you trusted are now your enemies, eating your bread and leaving you wounded.
Bet I’ll wipe out the wise guys in Edom and take away their understanding, says the Lord.
Your strong crew, Teman, is shook; everyone from Esau’s crew is about to get wrecked.
Your savage moves against Jacob are gonna leave you ashamed; you’re getting cut off for good.
When you stood on the sidelines while strangers took your bro's stuff, you were just as sus as them.
You shouldn’t have been vibing when your bro was in trouble or flexing while Judah was getting wrecked.
You shouldn't have rolled up on my people during their struggle, nor touched their stuff when they were down.
And you definitely shouldn’t have blocked the escapees or thrown your own under the bus when things got tough.
The Lord’s day is coming for all the heathens; what goes around comes around, fam.
You’ve been sipping on my holy mountain, so now all the heathens are gonna drink and forget they even existed.
But Zion’s gonna be lit with deliverance and holiness; Jacob’s house will get their blessings.
Jacob’s fam will be fire, Joseph’s a flame, and Esau’s just gonna be burnt out; nothing left of Esau, for real.
The south’s gonna take over Esau’s mountain, and the plains will own the Philistines; Ephraim and Samaria are getting claimed by Benjamin.
The captives of Israel are gonna take over the Canaanites, all the way to Zarephath; Jerusalem’s captives will own the southern cities.
Saviors are rolling up on Zion to judge Esau’s mountain; the kingdom’s all about the Lord.
