Gen Z: Numbers 23
Balaam told Balak, "Yo, build me seven altars here and get me seven oxen and seven rams. Let's vibe."
Balak was like, “Bet,” and did what Balaam said; they offered a bull and a ram on each altar.
Balaam said to Balak, "Chill by your burnt offering, I’m gonna bounce. Maybe the Lord will pull up and show me what's good. I’ll spill the tea."
God pulled up on Balaam and said, “I see you’ve got seven altars and offered a bull and a ram on each. That’s lit.”
The Lord dropped a word in Balaam’s mouth, told him, “Go back to Balak and say this.”
He went back and found Balak chilling by his burnt sacrifice with all the Moab princes.
Balaam started his parable, saying, “Balak, the king of Moab, brought me from Aram, outta the mountains, saying, ‘Come, curse Jacob and defy Israel.’”
“How can I curse who God hasn’t cursed? How can I defy who the Lord hasn’t defied? No cap.”
“From the top of the rocks, I see them; from the hills, I behold them: the people are solo and not counted among the nations.”
“Who can count Jacob's dust or the number of Israel’s crew? Let me go out like the righteous and end my life on the same vibe!”
Balak was like, "Yo, what did you just do to me? I brought you here to roast my enemies, and now you’re blessing them, fr?"
Balaam fired back, "Do I not gotta say what the Lord put in my mouth? No cap."
Balak was like, "Aight, come with me to another spot where you can see them better. You’ll only catch a glimpse, but curse them from there."
So, he took him to Zophim’s field, up on Pisgah, built seven altars, and sacrificed a bull and a ram on each one.
He told Balak, "Chill here by your burnt offering while I go meet the Lord over there."
The Lord met Balaam, dropped a word in his mouth, and said, "Go back to Balak and say this."
When he got back, Balak was standing by his offering with the Moab princes. Balak asked, "What did the Lord say?"
Balaam picked up his parable and said, "Yo, Balak, listen up; pay attention, son of Zippor."
God ain’t like a man to lie or a son of man to change his mind. If He says it, He’s gonna do it, no cap.
Check it, I got the order to bless, and He blessed; I can’t switch that vibe up.
No cap, God ain't seen any bad vibes in Jacob or Israel; He's with them, and the king's energy is lit among them.
God flexed hard bringing them outta Egypt; He's got the strength of a unicorn, fr.
For real, there's no magic against Jacob or divination against Israel; people gonna say, "Look what God did!"
Watch out, the crew's rising like a fierce lion, and he ain't chilling till he gets his prey and drinks up, periodt.
Balak was like, "Don't curse them or bless them, just chill."
Balaam shot back, "Did I not tell you? Whatever the Lord says, that's what I gotta do, no cap."
Balak was like, "Yo, come with me; maybe God will let you curse them from a different spot."
Balak took Balaam to the peak of Peor, looking over Jeshimon.
Balaam told Balak, "Build me seven altars here and get seven bulls and seven rams ready."
Balak did what Balaam said, offering a bull and a ram on each altar.
