Job 9

Gen Z: Job 9

1Then Job answered and said, "Yo, listen up."

2I know it’s true for real: but how can a dude be right with God?

3If he tries to go up against him, he can't even drop one reply outta a thousand.

4He’s got mad wisdom and strength: who’s dumb enough to challenge him and actually win?

5He moves mountains without anyone noticing, and flips them when he’s mad.

6He shakes the earth from its spot, and even the pillars are like, "Whoa."

7He tells the sun to chill, and it just doesn’t rise; he locks up the stars too.

8He’s the only one who spreads out the heavens and walks on the sea waves like it’s nothing.

9He’s the one who made Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, plus all those southern vibes.

10He does epic stuff that’s beyond finding out; yeah, and wonders that are countless.

11Yo, he’s rolling by me, but I can’t see him: he’s just vibing, but I ain't catching the feels.

12Check it, he takes away, who can stop him? Who’s gonna ask, “What’s your deal?”

13If God isn’t backing down, even the proud ones gotta bow down, no cap.

14How much less can I even respond, like, do I even have the rizz to chat with him?

15Even if I was on my A-game, I wouldn’t just answer, I’d be like, “Please, hear me out, fam.”

16If I called out, and he picked up; still, I’d be sus about whether he really heard me.

17He’s hitting me with storms, and stacking my wounds for no reason, fr.

18He won’t let me catch a breath, just filling me with all this bitterness, savage.

19If I talk about my strength, he’s like, “Yeah, I’m the real strong one”: and if it’s about judgment, who’s gonna give me a time to plead my case?

20If I try to back myself up, my own mouth’s gonna call me out: if I say I’m perfect, it’s just gonna prove I’m wild.

21Even if I was flawless, I still wouldn’t vibe with my soul; I’d be like, “This life is sus.”

22So here’s the tea: He takes down the perfect and the wicked, no cap.

23If the whip comes outta nowhere, He’s just gonna laugh at the innocent struggle.

24The earth’s in the hands of the wicked; they got the judges all covered up. Like, where they at?

25My days are flying by faster than a delivery dude; they just dip and don’t see the good vibes.

26They zoom past like speedy ships or eagles going after their meal, fr.

27If I’m like, “Forget my complaints,” I’m just trying to chill and not feel heavy, but it’s tough.

28I’m lowkey scared of all my feels; I know You won’t let me off the hook.

29If I’m wicked, why am I even grinding for nothing?

30Even if I scrub myself clean with snow water, it’s still a struggle to stay fresh.

31You gonna throw me in the ditch, and my fit gonna be looking sus.

32He ain't even a dude like me, so how am I supposed to vibe with him in court?

33Ain't nobody to mediate between us, to put a hand on both of us.

34Just take your stick away from me, I don't wanna be scared, fr.

35Then I could speak up and not sweat it; but it ain't like that for me.

KJV: Job 9

1Then Job answered and said,

2I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?

3If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.

4He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered?

5Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger.

6Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.

7Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.

8Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.

9Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.

10Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.

11Lo, he goeth by me, and I see him not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not.

12Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou?

13If God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.

14How much less shall I answer him, and choose out my words to reason with him?

15Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge.

16If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.

17For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause.

18He will not suffer me to take my breath, but filleth me with bitterness.

19If I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead?

20If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.

21Though I were perfect, yet would I not know my soul: I would despise my life.

22This is one thing, therefore I said it, He destroyeth the perfect and the wicked.

23If the scourge slay suddenly, he will laugh at the trial of the innocent.

24The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he?

25Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good.

26They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that hasteth to the prey.

27If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and comfort myself:

28I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent.

29If I be wicked, why then labour I in vain?

30If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;

31Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall abhor me.

32For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment.

33Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both.

34Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me:

35Then would I speak, and not fear him; but it is not so with me.
