Gen Z: Isaiah 40
Yo, comfort my peeps, says God.
Speak chill to Jerusalem, tell her the struggle's done, her sins are forgiven: she got double blessings from the Lord, no cap.
A voice in the wild is like, "Get ready for the Lord, make a straight path for our God."
Every valley's gonna be lit, and every mountain's gonna chill: the crooked's getting straightened out, and the rough spots are gonna be smooth.
The Lord's glory is about to pop off, and everyone’s gonna see it together: God said it, periodt.
The voice said, "Cry out." And he asked, "What should I say?" All people are like grass, and all their vibes are like flowers in the field.
The grass fades, the flowers die: the Spirit of the Lord blows on it: for real, people are like grass.
The grass fades, the flowers die: but the word of our God is goated forever.
O Zion, bringing good news, climb the high mountain; O Jerusalem, bringing good news, lift your voice strong; don’t be scared; tell the cities of Judah, "Check out your God!"
Look, the Lord God’s coming in with a strong hand, and His arm is ruling: His reward's with Him, and His work is ahead.
He’s gonna vibe with his crew like a shepherd, scoopin’ up the lambs and carryin’ them close, leadin’ the fam gently, no cap.
Who’s out here measuring the waters like it’s nothing, sizing up the heavens, counting the earth’s dust, and weighing mountains like it’s a scale game?
Who’s directing the Spirit of the Lord? Like, who’s giving Him advice? That’s sus.
Who’s He chillin’ with for advice, and who schooled Him on judgment and knowledge? He’s got the ultimate rizz for understanding.
Look, the nations are like a drop in the bucket, just tiny dust on the scale; He lifts the isles like it’s no biggie.
Lebanon ain’t even enough to burn, and the animals there can’t even handle a lit sacrifice.
All nations are basically nothing to Him; they’re like less than nothing, just straight-up vanity.
So, who you gonna compare God to? What’s the vibe check on that?
The craftsman’s out here melting idols, the goldsmith’s draping it in gold, and making silver chains like it’s a flex.
If you’re broke and can’t offer anything, you pick a tree that won’t rot, and find a crafty worker to make a solid idol that won’t budge.
Yo, you heard? Like, have you not caught the vibe from day one? It’s been known since the start, fr.
He’s chillin' on the circle of the Earth, and people are just tiny grasshoppers to Him; He spreads the heavens like a curtain, setting up a lit tent.
He straight up brings the bosses to zero; judges be looking like a joke.
For real, they won’t even plant or sow; their roots won’t even dig in. He’ll just blow on them and they’ll fade away like dry grass.
So like, who you tryna compare me to? The Holy One ain’t got no equals.
Look up high and see who made all this; He counts them all and calls them by name, flexing that serious strength. Not one is missing, no cap.
Why you saying, “My way is hidden from the Lord,” Jacob? Like, what’s up with that, Israel?
You not getting it? The everlasting God, the Creator of everything, doesn’t tire out or get worn out. His wisdom is on another level.
He gives power to those who are weak; if you’re lacking energy, He’s boosting your strength, no doubt.
Even the young ones gonna get tired and fall, for real.
But those who chill with the Lord will get their energy back; they’ll vibe up like eagles; they’ll run and not get tired; they’ll walk and not tap out.
