Gen Z: Isaiah 10
Yo, woe to those who drop shady laws and write straight-up wrong stuff they made up;
They’re out here blocking the needy from getting justice and snatching rights from the poor, like widows are just their prey, fr.
So what’s the move when the big day hits and everything goes down? Who you gonna hit up for help, and where you gonna stash your clout?
Without me, they gonna be bowing down to the prisoners, and they’ll fall with the slain. But no cap, my anger ain’t chillin’, my hand’s still reaching out.
Yo, Assyrian, you’re my anger's tool, and that staff you got is my rage, no lie.
I’m sending him to a fake nation, and I’m giving him the green light to take the loot and stomp on them like mud in the streets.
But for real, he ain’t thinking what you think; deep down, he just wants to wipe out a bunch of nations, no cap.
He’s like, “Aren’t my peeps all kings, though?”
Isn’t Calno just like Carchemish? Isn’t Hamath just like Arpad? Isn’t Samaria just like Damascus?
My hand found all those idol kingdoms, and their carvings didn’t even compare to what was in Jerusalem and Samaria; that’s wild.
So like, should I not do to Jerusalem and her idols what I did to Samaria and her crew?
For real, when the Lord finishes His whole vibe on Mount Zion and Jerusalem, I’m gonna check the king of Assyria for being all high and mighty.
He’s like, "I did this all by my own power and smarts," thinking he’s so clever, but I’ve just taken what’s theirs and flexed on them hard.
My hand scooped up their riches like a boss; I gathered all the earth while no one even flinched or said a word.
Can the axe flex on the one who’s chopping with it? Or can the saw act all special against the one using it? That’s like a stick trying to act like it’s not just wood.
So the Lord of hosts is gonna send some struggle to his fat cats; under His glory, it’s gonna spark a fire that’s lit.
The light of Israel is gonna be like a fire, and His Holy One is gonna be a flame, burning through all the thorns and brambles in a day, no cap.
It’s gonna wipe out the glory of his forest and fruitful fields, body and soul; they’ll be like when someone holding a flag just collapses.
The rest of the trees in his forest are gonna be so few that even a kid could count them.
And on that day, the remnant of Israel and those who made it out from Jacob’s house won’t lean on the one who hurt them anymore; they’ll trust in the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, for real.
The squad's coming back, even the remnant of Jacob, to the big guy upstairs.
Even though Israel's peeps are like beach vibes, a remnant's still gonna return: the vibe check is all about that righteousness.
The Lord God of hosts is gonna handle business, no cap, right in the middle of the land.
So the Lord God of hosts is like, "Yo, my people in Zion, don’t sweat the Assyrian: he might hit you with a stick, but it’s chill, just like Egypt."
Just hang tight, fam, the drama's gonna chill out soon, and my anger will cool when they get wrecked.
The Lord of hosts is gonna whip up a serious vibe for him, just like the Midian drama at the rock of Oreb: and just like his stick was on the sea, he’s gonna flex it like Egypt.
On that day, his weight's gonna be lifted off your shoulders, and the yoke off your neck, 'cause that anointing is straight fire.
He’s rolling through Aiath, then hitting Migron; at Michmash, he’s parked his ride.
They crossed over the spot: they’re crashing at Geba; Ramah’s shook; Gibeah of Saul’s dipped.
Shout out, daughter of Gallim: make sure the vibes reach Laish, O poor Anathoth.
Madmenah is outta here; the crew from Gebim is dipping fast.
He’s chilling at Nob that day, throwing shade at the hill of Zion, the spot in Jerusalem.
Yo, the Lord of hosts is coming in hot, chopping down the big shots, and the high and mighty are about to get humbled, no cap.
He’s gonna clear out the forest with iron tools, and Lebanon’s gonna drop like a boss.
