Gen Z: Hosea 6
Yo, let’s bounce back to the Lord; He’s been rough, but He’ll heal us up. He’s hit us hard, but He’s got our backs.
After two days, He’s gonna bring us back to life; on the third day, we’ll be vibin’ in His presence.
We’ll know what’s good if we chase after the Lord; His moves are lit like the morning, and He’ll come to us like the rain, periodt.
O Ephraim, what’s the deal? O Judah, what’s up with you? Your goodness is like a morning cloud, and it just dips like early dew.
I’ve dropped truth bombs through the prophets; I’ve called them out with my words: your judgments shine like the morning light.
I wanted mercy, not just sacrifices; knowing God is way more important than burnt offerings, no cap.
But they’ve played me like everyone else, breaking the covenant and being sus with me.
Gilead’s a city full of shady vibes, all messed up with blood.
Just like thieves waiting for a lick, the priests be out here murdering and getting wild together.
I’ve seen some straight-up wild stuff in Israel’s crib: Ephraim’s being unfaithful, and Israel’s totally defiled.
Also, O Judah, He’s got a harvest lined up for you when I turn my people back around.
