Gen Z: Hosea 14
Yo Israel, it’s time to bounce back to the Lord your God; you totally fell off with your wrongdoings.
Bring some fire words and turn to the Lord: say, “Take away our mess-ups and show us some love,” and we’ll vibe with our praise.
Asshur ain't saving us; we’re not hopping on horses anymore: we’re done saying, “You’re our gods” to our own creations, ‘cause in You, the orphans find mercy.
I’ll fix their slip-ups, I’ll love them like no cap: my anger’s been put on chill.
I’ll be like the morning dew for Israel: he’ll bloom like a lily and spread his roots like Lebanon.
His branches will stretch out, and he’ll be as beautiful as an olive tree, with a scent like Lebanon.
Those chilling under his shade will come back; they’ll come alive like corn and grow like vines: the aroma will be like the wine of Lebanon.
Ephraim’s gonna say, “What’s the deal with idols? I’ve heard him and peeped him: I’m like a fresh fir tree. From me, you’ll find the good stuff.”
Who’s wise enough to get this? Who’s savvy enough to know? The Lord’s ways are lit, and the just will roll with them: but the haters will trip up.
