Gen Z: Genesis 13
Abram bounced outta Egypt with his wifey and all his stuff, plus Lot, heading south.
Abram was flexing mad racks in cattle, silver, and gold.
He was on the move from the south to Beth-el, back to where he pitched his tent at first, between Beth-el and Hai.
He hit up the altar he made there, and called on God’s name, no cap.
Lot was rollin' with Abram too, with his own flocks, herds, and tents.
The land was too packed for them to chill together; their vibes were just too great.
There was beef between Abram’s herders and Lot’s herders, while the Canaanite and Perizzite were also vibing in the area.
Abram told Lot, “Let’s not have drama between us or our herders; we’re fam.”
The whole land is yours, so pick your side: if you go left, I’ll go right; if you go right, I’ll go left, periodt.
Lot checked out the Jordan plain, it was water central everywhere, before God wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah, kinda like the Garden of Eden, lowkey like Egypt.
Lot was like, "I’m taking the whole Jordan Valley," and bounced east, leaving Abram behind.
Abram chilled in Canaan while Lot was in the cities of the plain, setting up his tent towards Sodom.
But the Sodom crew? Straight-up wicked and wildin’ in front of the Lord, no cap.
The Lord told Abram, after Lot dipped, "Look up and check out the whole scene: north, south, east, and west."
"All that land you see? I'm giving it to you and your fam, forever."
"I’ll make your descendants as countless as the dust on the ground; if someone can count that, then they can count your kids."
"Get up, walk through the land, it’s all yours."
So, Abram moved his tent and settled in Mamre’s plain, which is in Hebron, and built an altar for the Lord there.
