Gen Z: Ezekiel 40
Yo, in the 25th year of our captivity, at the start of the year, on the 10th day, like 14 years after the city got wrecked, the Lord’s hand was on me and took me there.
In a vision, God took me to Israel and put me on this super high mountain that looked like a city frame down south.
He brought me there, and check it, there was a dude who looked like brass, holding a flax line and a measuring stick, chillin' at the gate.
The dude said, "Son of man, peep this with your eyes, listen with your ears, and lock in your heart on everything I’m about to show you; I brought you here to spill the tea to the house of Israel."
And there was a wall outside the house all around, and in the guy’s hand was a measuring stick six cubits long; he measured the width of the building, one stick; and the height, one stick.
Then he hit the gate facing east, went up the stairs, and measured the threshold, which was one stick wide; the other threshold was also one stick wide.
Every little room was one stick long and one stick wide; between those rooms were five cubits; and the threshold of the gate by the porch was one stick.
He also measured the porch of the gate inside, one stick.
Then he measured the porch of the gate, eight cubits; the posts were two cubits; and the porch was facing inward.
The little rooms of the gate eastward were three on this side and three on that side; all six were the same size, and the posts had the same size on both sides.
He checked the width of the gate, it was ten cubits wide; and the length? Thirteen cubits, no cap.
The space in front of the lil chambers was one cubit on each side, and those chambers were six cubits each. Vibes.
He measured the gate from one lil chamber's roof to another's: it was twenty-five cubits wide, door to door. Lit.
He made posts that were sixty cubits tall, going all the way to the court around the gate. Goated.
From the gate entrance to the inner porch, it was fifty cubits. Periodt.
There were narrow windows in the lil chambers and their posts inside the gate, plus arches with windows all around. Palm trees on each post, fr.
Then he took me to the outer court, and there were chambers and a pavement around it: thirty chambers on the pavement, no cap.
The pavement by the gates opposite the length of the gates was the lower pavement. Bussin.
He measured the width from the lower gate's front to the inner court's front, a hundred cubits east and north. Savage.
And the gate of the outer court facing north? He measured its length and width. Bet.
So there were three chill spots on this side and three on that side; the posts and arches were just like the first gate: fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide, no cap.
Their windows, arches, and palm trees were all styled like the east gate; they had to climb seven steps to get there, and the arches were right in front of them.
The inner court gate was across from the north and east gates; he measured a hundred cubits from gate to gate, fr.
Then he took me south, and boom, there was a gate there: he measured the posts and arches just like the other ones.
There were windows and arches all around it, just like those other windows: fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide, lit.
There were seven steps to get up to it, and the arches were right there; palm trees were one on this side and another on that side of the posts.
There was a gate in the inner court facing south: he measured a hundred cubits from gate to gate southward, periodt.
He brought me to the inner court through the south gate: he measured the south gate based on these numbers.
The little chambers, posts, and arches were measured up like this: there were windows in it and arches all around; it was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide, no cap.
The arches all around were twenty-five cubits long and five cubits wide, no cap.
The arches were facing the outer court, and there were palm trees vibin' on the posts; the way up had eight steps, no cap.
He took me to the inner court on the east side and measured the gate, and it was lit.
The little chambers, posts, and arches were all on point with these measurements; there were windows all around, it was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide, fr.
The arches were facing the outer court too, with palm trees on the posts, and the way up had eight steps, periodt.
He took me to the north gate and measured it, and it was goated.
The little chambers, posts, arches, and windows were all around; the length was fifty cubits and the width was twenty-five cubits, no cap.
The posts were facing the outer court, palm trees on the posts on both sides, and the way up had eight steps, it was savage.
The chambers and entries were by the gate posts, where they washed the burnt offering, that's how they roll.
In the gate's porch, there were two tables on this side and two on that side for slaying burnt offerings, sin offerings, and trespass offerings, it was bussin'.
Outside, as you go up to the north gate entry, there were two tables, and on the other side at the porch, there were two more tables, straight up.
There were four tables on this side and four on that side by the gate; eight tables where they were slaying their sacrifices. Total vibes.
Those four tables were made of stone for the burnt offerings, each one and a half cubits long and wide, and one cubit high: they laid the tools for the sacrifices there. No cap.
Inside were hooks, a hand's width, all around: and on the tables was the flesh of the offering. Straight up.
Outside the inner gate were chambers for the singers in the inner court, by the north gate; they faced south, and one near the east gate faced north. Lit.
He told me, "This chamber facing south is for the priests who keep the charge of the house." Bet.
The chamber facing north is for the priests who handle the altar: these are Zadok's sons from Levi, who come close to the Lord to serve him. Goated.
He measured the court, a hundred cubits long and wide, a perfect square; and the altar was in front of the house. Bussin’.
He took me to the porch of the house and measured each post: five cubits on this side and five on that side; the gate was three cubits wide on each side. Periodt.
The porch was twenty cubits long and eleven cubits wide; he showed me the steps they used to go up to it, with pillars by the posts, one on each side. Savage.
