Gen Z: Ezekiel 33
Yo, the Lord hit me up again, saying,
Yo, fam, tell your peeps, when I bring the sword to a land, if they grab someone from the coast and make him their watchman:
If he sees the sword coming and blows the trumpet to warn the squad;
Then whoever hears the trumpet and ignores the warning; if the sword comes and takes him out, that’s on him.
He heard the trumpet but didn’t listen; that’s on him. But the one who listens gets saved, no cap.
But if the watchman sees the sword coming and doesn’t blow the trumpet, and the people aren’t warned; if the sword comes and takes someone out, that’s on the watchman, for real.
So you, son of man, I made you a watchman for Israel; you gotta hear my words and warn them, periodt.
When I say to the wicked, “Yo, you’re gonna die;” if you don’t warn him to change his ways, that wicked dude’s death is on you.
But if you warn the wicked to turn from his ways and he doesn’t listen, he’ll die in his sins; but you saved yourself, fr.
So, son of man, tell the house of Israel; say this: If our sins are all over us and we’re struggling, how can we even live?
Yo, tell them, as I vibe, says the Lord God, I ain't about that death of the wicked life; I want them to turn it around and live, for real. Why you wanna die, Israel fam?
So, son of man, tell your peeps, the good stuff a righteous person does won't save him if he messes up; and the wicked ain’t gonna be saved just 'cause he turned from his wickedness. Righteousness ain't a free pass, periodt.
When I say the righteous will live, if he thinks he’s got it all figured out and still does wrong, all that good he did won't matter; he’s gotta own his wrongs, or he’s out, no cap.
Again, when I tell the wicked, "You gonna die," if he bounces back from his sins, and does what’s right and chill, he’ll be good.
If the wicked gives back what he took, walks the straight path without doing wrong, he’ll definitely live, no doubt.
None of his past wrongs will be thrown back at him: he’s doing what’s right and lawful; he’s set to live, fr.
But your people be saying, "The Lord’s way ain't fair," but for real, their way is the sus one.
When the righteous dips from his good vibes and messes up, he gonna face the consequences, straight up.
But if the wicked flips the script and does what’s right, he’ll be living, no cap.
Yet y’all still saying, "The Lord’s way ain’t fair." Listen up, Israel fam, I’m judging each of you based on your own vibes.
So, in the twelfth year of our captivity, on the tenth month and the fifth day, someone who dipped from Jerusalem came to me, saying, "The city's totally wrecked."
Then the Lord's vibes hit me in the evening before the escapee showed up; He opened my mouth, and when morning came, I was no longer mute.
And then the word of the Lord was like, "Yo, listen up!"
Son of man, the peeps living in the land of Israel are saying, "Abraham was the OG, and he got the land, but we’re a squad; the land is ours for the taking."
So tell them, "This is what the Lord God says: You’re munching on blood, gazing at your idols, and spilling blood; you think you can just claim the land?"
You’re standing on your swords, doing the most sus stuff, and messing with your neighbor’s partner; you really think you can take the land?
Say it like this to them, "The Lord God says: As I live, those in the wasteland will get taken out by the sword, and anyone in the open field will be lunch for the beasts, while those in the forts and caves will catch the plague."
I'm about to make the land super desolate, and all the flexing will stop; the mountains of Israel will be empty, and no one will pass through.
Then they’ll know I'm the Lord when I make the land super desolate because of all the savage things they’ve done.
Also, son of man, your people are still chatting about you by the walls and doors, saying to each other, "Come through and hear what the Lord has to say."
They pull up to you like, "What's good?" and vibe with you, but lowkey they ain't about that action. They talk a big game, but their hearts are just chasing after the next big thing.
Honestly, you’re like that fire song with a dope beat, and they’re vibing hard, but they ain't actually living it.
When it all goes down, for real, they'll realize a prophet was in their midst, no cap.
