Gen Z: Ezekiel 26
So like, in the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, God hit me up with a message, saying,
Yo, son of man, Tyrus is out here trash talking Jerusalem, saying she’s broken and turned to me, but now she’s just a hot mess:
So God’s like, “Listen up, Tyrus, I’m coming for you, and a whole squad of nations is rolling up on you like waves in the sea.”
They’re gonna wreck Tyrus’s walls and smash her towers: I’ll dust her off and make her like a flat rock, no cap.
It’s gonna be a spot for spreading nets in the sea: I said it, God’s word is lit, and it’ll be a spoil for the nations.
And her girls out in the field are getting taken out by the sword; they’ll know I’m the Lord, fr.
God’s like, “Check it, I’m sending Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north with a whole army.”
He’s gonna take out your daughters in the field and build a fort against you, popping off with a mount and a shield.
He’s setting up war machines against your walls, and he’s gonna smash your towers with his axes.
With all his horses kicking up dust, you’re gonna feel it; your walls will shake when he rolls into your gates like it’s a city breach.
His horses are gonna stomp all over your streets; he’ll slay your people, and your strongholds are going down, periodt.
They’re gonna loot your riches and snag your goods: they’ll tear down your walls and wreck your nice houses, tossing your stones and timber into the water.
I’m gonna silence your songs; no more harp vibes, it’s over.
I’ll make you like a flat rock: a place to spread nets; you won’t be built up again, ‘cause I said so, says the Lord.
God’s like, “Yo, Tyrus, won’t the islands shake at your fall, when the wounded cry and the slaughter goes down?”
All the sea princes are gonna step down from their thrones, ditch their fancy clothes, and feel the tremors, sitting on the ground, shook at you.
They’ll take up a sad song for you, saying, “How did you get wrecked, the city that was all about the seafaring life, strong in the sea, making everyone scared?”
The islands are gonna be shook on the day you fall; even the islands in the sea will be stressed about your exit.
God’s saying, “When I turn you into a ghost town, like those abandoned cities, when I bring the deep upon you and the great waters cover you;
When I drag you down with those going into the pit, with the old school peeps, you’ll be in the low parts of the earth, in the desolate spots, and glory will be in the land of the living.”
I’ll make you a terror, and you’ll be no more: even if people search for you, they won’t find you again, says the Lord.
