Gen Z: Ezekiel 19
Yo, vibe check for the princes of Israel, it’s time to spill some feels.
So, what’s the tea on your mom? She’s a lioness, chillin’ with lions, raising her cubs with the squad.
She raised one of her cubs, and it popped off as a young lion, learning to hunt and feast on peeps.
The nations heard about him; he got caught in their trap and they dragged him to Egypt in chains, no cap.
When she saw her hopes fade, she took another cub and turned him into a young lion, like, periodt.
He roamed with the lions, became a young lion too, learned to hunt, and feasted on men, savage.
He knew their empty palaces, wrecked their cities; the land was a ghost town from his roar, fr.
Then the nations surrounded him from all sides, laid a trap, and he got caught in their snare.
They locked him up in chains and brought him to the king of Babylon, making sure his voice was silenced in Israel’s mountains.
Your mom’s like a vine in your blood, rooted by the water, thriving and full of branches, lit.
She had strong branches for the rulers, standing tall among the thick ones, flexing her height with all those branches.
But she got yanked up in rage, tossed to the ground, and the east wind dried her out; her strong branches were broken and burned up.
Now she’s planted in the wild, in a dry and thirsty spot, sus vibes.
Fire came out of her branches, devoured her fruit, leaving her with no strong branch to rule. This is a vibe check, and it’s a sad one.
