Gen Z: Esther 5
So, on day three, Esther gets all decked out in her royal fit and stands in the king's inner court, while the king's chilling on his throne, no cap.
When the king peeped Esther, he was like, "She’s got that vibe," and he reached out the golden scepter. Esther rolled up and touched it, periodt.
The king was like, “What’s good, queen Esther? What do you want? I got you, even half the kingdom if that’s what you’re after.”
Esther replied, “If it’s cool with the king, let him and Haman hit up the banquet I set up for them.”
The king said, “Tell Haman to hurry, so he can do what Esther said.” So they both pulled up to the banquet Esther planned.
At the wine banquet, the king asked Esther, “What’s your petition? I got you, even half the kingdom if that’s what you want.”
Esther was like, “My petition and request is this;”
“If I’ve got the king’s favor and he’s down to grant my request, let him and Haman come to the banquet I’m throwing tomorrow, and I’ll do what the king said.”
Haman left that day feeling all happy and vibing, but when he saw Mordecai not standing up for him at the king’s gate, he was mad sus.
But Haman kept it chill, and when he got home, he hit up his friends and his wife Zeresh.
Haman flexed about his riches, his kids, all the ways the king boosted him, and how he was above all the princes and servants.
Haman added, “For real, only I got invited to the banquet with the king that Esther set up; tomorrow, I’m invited again.”
But none of that mattered to me as long as I saw Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate, fr.
Then Zeresh and his friends said, “Build a gallows fifty cubits high, and tomorrow, tell the king to hang Mordecai on it. Then you can vibe with the king at the banquet.” Haman was all about it and got the gallows made.
