Ecclesiastes 3

Gen Z: Ecclesiastes 3

1Everything's got its vibe, and there's a time for every purpose under the sun, fr.

2A time to drop into this world, and a time to peace out; a time to plant, and a time to pull up what’s planted, no cap.

3A time to take out the trash, and a time to heal; a time to break it down, and a time to build it up, bet.

4A time to cry, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance like no one's watching, periodt.

5A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather them; a time to hug it out, and a time to chill on the hugs.

6A time to cop some stuff, and a time to lose it; a time to hold on, and a time to let go, no cap.

7A time to rip it apart, and a time to sew it back; a time to keep it lowkey, and a time to spill the tea.

8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace, it’s all vibes.

9What’s the point of grinding if you ain't getting anything from it?

10I’ve seen the struggle that God’s got everyone working through, and it’s wild.

11He’s made everything look lit in its time: also, He’s put the world in our hearts, so we can’t really figure out what God’s been up to from start to finish.

12I know there’s not much good in it, but a dude should vibe, and do good in his life, fr.

13Plus, every dude should eat, drink, and soak up the good from all his hustle; that’s a total gift from God.

14I know whatever God does is forever: nothing can be added or taken away, and God does it so people can respect Him.

15What’s been is now; and what’s coming has already been; and God wants what’s past.

16I peeped under the sun that judgment's there; wickedness is chilling there; and righteousness is sus, too.

17I said in my heart, God’s gonna judge the good and the bad: 'cause there’s a time for every purpose and every hustle.

18I said in my heart about the state of humanity, that God might show them, and they might realize they're just beasts out here.

19What happens to humans happens to beasts; they both face the same fate: one dies, the other dies; they all breathe the same air, so no one is better than a beast: it’s all vanity.

20Everyone’s heading to the same spot; we’re all made from dust, and we’re all gonna turn back to dust.

21Who knows the spirit of a person that goes up, and the spirit of a beast that goes down to the ground?

22So I see that there’s nothing better than a dude vibing with his own work; that’s his portion: who’s gonna show him what comes next?

KJV: Ecclesiastes 3

1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

9What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?

10I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

11He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

12I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.

13And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

14I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

15That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

16And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.

17I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

18I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

19For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.

20All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

21Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

22Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?
