Gen Z: Ecclesiastes 1
The vibes of the Preacher, son of David, king in Jerusalem, are real.
Total vanity, says the Preacher, like all this is just sus.
What’s the point of grinding all day under the sun? Like, fr?
One generation dips, another one rolls in, but the earth? Always vibing.
The sun rises, dips down, and is like, “Catch ya later.”
The wind be like, “South, then north, round and round it goes, no cap.”
All the rivers flow to the sea, but the sea ain't even full; they just keep coming back, periodt.
Everything’s a grind; humans can’t even keep up. Eyes never satisfied, ears always hungry.
What’s happened before is gonna happen again; no new trends under the sun, for real.
Is there anything new? Nah, it’s all been done before, straight up.
No one remembers the past, and future vibes will be forgotten too, fr.
I, the Preacher, was the king of Israel in Jerusalem, you know?
I was on a mission to find wisdom about everything under heaven; this grind is what God gave us to deal with.
I’ve peeped all the stuff happening under the sun; honestly, it’s all vanity and stress.
What’s crooked can’t be straightened out; what’s missing? Can’t even count it, no cap.
I was chatting with my own heart, like, “I’m living large and got mad wisdom compared to anyone before me in Jerusalem.”
I was all about knowing wisdom and the chaos of life; realized this too is just stress.
Too much wisdom brings too much grief; more knowledge? Just more pain, no cap.
