Gen Z: 2 Chronicles 17
Jehoshaphat, his son, took over and leveled up against Israel.
He stacked up forces in all the secure cities of Judah and set up crews in the land of Judah and Ephraim, just like his dad Asa did.
The Lord was vibin' with Jehoshaphat 'cause he walked in his dad David's OG ways and didn’t mess with Baalim.
Instead, he went for the Lord God of his pops and followed His commandments, not the sus stuff Israel was doing.
So the Lord made his kingdom solid; all of Judah brought him gifts, and he was rollin’ in riches and honor, no cap.
His heart was all in with the Lord’s vibes; plus, he cleared out the high places and groves in Judah.
In his third year, he hit up his princes—Ben-hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethaneel, and Michaiah—to teach in the cities of Judah.
He sent Levites with them—Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah, and Tob-adonijah—and had priests Elishama and Jehoram rollin' too.
They taught in Judah, had the book of the law with them, and spread the knowledge all over the cities, teaching the people.
The fear of the Lord hit all the kingdoms around Judah, so they didn’t even think about starting beef with Jehoshaphat.
Some Philistines brought Jehoshaphat gifts and tribute silver; the Arabians brought him mad flocks—7,700 rams and 7,700 he-goats.
Jehoshaphat was seriously thriving; he built castles and store cities in Judah.
He was busy in the cities of Judah, with mighty men of valor chillin' in Jerusalem.
Here are the numbers by their fams: Judah’s captains of thousands—Adnah the chief, rollin' with 300,000 mighty men.
Next to him was Jehohanan the captain, and he had 280,000 with him.
Amasiah, son of Zichri, was next, who willingly offered himself to the Lord; he had 200,000 mighty men with him.
From Benjamin, Eliada was a beast, rollin' with 200,000 armed men with bows and shields.
Next up was Jehozabad, with 180,000 ready to pop off for war.
These guys were waiting on the king, besides those the king put in the secure cities all around Judah.
