Gen Z: 1 Peter 2
So like, ditch all the drama, lies, and jealousy, and stop the toxic talk, fr.
Be like babies craving that pure word milk so you can level up, no cap.
If you've tasted how lit the Lord is, you know what's up.
When you roll up to Him, He’s that living stone, rejected by peeps but totally chosen by God, and he’s precious.
You guys are also like dope stones, building a spiritual squad, a holy crew, ready to offer those good vibes to God through Jesus.
Check it, the scripture says, "I’m laying down a chief corner stone in Sion, super precious: if you believe, you’re not gonna trip."
For you who believe, He’s mad precious; but for those who don’t, that stone they rejected? Yeah, He’s the main deal now.
He’s a stumbling block and a rock that trips up those who are disobedient, and they totally signed up for that.
But you’re a chosen fam, a royal crew, a holy nation, a unique squad; show off the praises of the one who pulled you out of darkness into His epic light.
You were once not a people, but now you’re the people of God; you didn’t have mercy before, but now you’ve got it, periodt.
Yo, fam, I’m asking you as outsiders to chill on the fleshly cravings that battle against your soul.
Keep it real with the outsiders: they might talk trash about you, but your good deeds will make them glorify God when the time comes.
Submit to every authority for the Lord’s sake: whether it’s the king, who’s the top dog;
Or the governors, who are sent by him to keep the bad guys in check and give props to the good ones.
This is God’s will, that by doing good, you can silence the clueless haters.
Be free, but don’t use your freedom to be shady; be dope servants of God instead.
Respect everyone. Love your crew. Fear God. Give props to the king.
Workers, be chill with your bosses, with all due respect; not just the nice ones, but even the tough ones.
This is dope if someone suffers for doing what’s right, keeping it 100 with God.
What’s the point if you get called out for your mess-ups and just take it? But if you do good and still catch heat, that’s what God wants.
You were called to this: Christ suffered for us, showing us how to roll.
He did no wrong, no lies came out of His mouth, fr.
When He got dissed, He didn’t dish it back; when He suffered, He didn’t threaten; He just trusted the one who judges right.
He took our sins on His own body on that tree, so we could be dead to sin and live for what’s right; by His wounds, we’re healed.
You were like lost sheep, but now you’ve come back to the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
